MikenAmber had a good idea to help some of you along with the new software. Some time Saturday, we will have a session to address the problems and see if there are any solutions. I will have my laptop so that I can access the accounts.

So bring along your laptop that has WiFi and we'll see if we can sort out any problems.

Our biggest issues have been:
-AOL has has some issues
-Old account was not updated with current email address
-Once on-line, not setting the options in the User CP.

The software has a lot more functionality than the old eve platform. It has been a learning experience for the Administrators and Moderators as well.

See y'all this weekend.

Ken

It may have more "Functionality" (A non word by the way) but... It is a lot less user friendly.. For example I want new messages FORUM BY FORUM, not system wide. That is how the old one worked, This one is a mess

I had already volunteered to help some people (talk about the blind leading the blind) so this will be great. I already have my laptop loaded and ready to go. I look forward to this session! Yippee!!!

John, according to the dictionaries:

"func·tion·al·i·ty (fŭngk'shə-nāl'ĭ-tē) Pronunciation Key

n.
  1. The quality of being functional.
  2. A useful function within a computer application or program.
  3. The capacity of a computer program or application to provide a useful function.

So it is a word.

This software does not do a few things like the old platform, but it does so many more and new things better than the old one. It is mostly a learning curve to you to a new comfort level.

When I first saw the new software...my reaction was not good. As I work with it, I am more comfortable with the new software. The problem it is actually more user friendly...just different.

Barbara, we have not discussed how many barley pops this "help" is costing...

I'll bring my laptop as well. Depending on how many want some help, we may not need it, but I'll have it available.

The new vBulletin forum software that the iRV2.com forums are running on. Previously, the iRV2.com forums ran on a software package called Eve/Infopop.

I will bring my Vista laptop and Billy will bring his Macbook to help out any way we can.

May as well make this a help session for anyone that may need help with any other software or peripheral.

Yeah, when they signed up to be Mods, bet they didn't see the fine print in the contract that read...."and other duties as assigned."

Oh, but wait until you see the bonus package that came with the title.
AIG will pale in the shadows.

Hey Rusty, how you going to spend the bonus when we are finished Saturday?

Yepper, if if I go to Mickey-D's and put $2.00 on counter, I can get a small cup of coffee and get some change to go with it...now is that a deal or not.

Why didn't I get a job at AIG in management.
