Hi Texas Boomers,
We are at Gate Way RV park, just like to know if there is any Boomers in this area. We are close to Edinburg off 281. We are from NC with the Appalachian Campers. Would like to get with some one from your group for Dinner.

Jim and Sandy -

Welcome to the great state of Texas - we're proud to have you here!

I had to do a MapQuest search because I wasn't sure where Edinburg was....now I know! You're in what we call "the valley".

Unfortunately we don't have any Boomers down your way to come and have dinner with you, but we'll keep this thread available for any Boomers who might have insight into that area who could give you recommendations for good places to eat...sight see...etc.

When heading back home, if you're coming through Houston area, be sure to let me know an we'll attempt to meet you somewhere on the road for supper one night!

Sandy

Heck ya, we're in the Valley! Come here every winter to enjoy the warm weather (80's yesterday; I will NOT say what it is today).

We're in Weslaco ---

This coming Wednesday, the 17th, there is a group of us meeting for lunch - you guys are more than welcome to join us.

1 PM @ Roadhouse Steakhouse. Location in McAllen -- 10th street, South of Hwy 83 --- between the Mall and the North end of the airport.

The "group" consists of HDT owners, wanna-be's, motorhome owner, etc. About 16 or so gather once a month for lunch. This is the first "meeting" this season.

"Come on down"

Pat and Don

Hi Txiceman & Sandy,
Thanks for the kind words and the welcome to Texas, we have had a good time here. If we go back that way we will give you a call. We did not know this State was this big.

We enjoyed being with your group. We thank you for the invite. The food was great. You and your Wife made us feel welcome and hope we will meet in the future.
