Been a while since we have seen much from ya'll. Keeping warm and dry up there?
Also, wanted to let ya'll make notice that the 2007 National Rally is in BRANSON, MO. Since that is just a short hop for most of Oklahoma, we'd sure like to see a bunch of Okies make the trip to the National Rally.

The hot weather really puts a damper on having fun with the RV. But you have such beautiful fall weather up there, it is worth the wait.

We are not "officially" Oklahoma Boomers since we haven't camped with the group yet, but I am very interested in going to the Branson rally. Especially if our camping friends from Texas who belong to the boomers go.
My husband enjoys smaller rallies but isn't real fond of the large ones so I will have to do a LOT of sweet talking to get him to go. We are "campers" not RVers, in other words we stay at campgrounds and fish a lot more than we stay at RV Parks. I have my work cut out for me to convince him it be will fun..... As mentioned if we can meet up with some Oklahoma folks between now and then that are attending, plus if Steve & Pat and Doug & Mar are going that will be a very good start.
Sounds like FUN!

Cat,
If'n I were a bettin' man, I'd lay odds that there will be a slew of Texas Boomers heading for Branson next year. We'd love to have you and your DH join us.

Cat, one of our members "Flytyer" is organizing a fishing trip for the rally...It's a little sketchy at this point but he has been to Branson many times and is planning either a float or a wade trip depending on the conditions...He has enlisted the services of a local guide whom he is familiar with to lead this group.
Maybe THAT will get your husband off the fence.
We already have 21 sites spoken for and we're looking forward to a GREAT time!!

Fly fishing?! Did somebody say fishing?!
If you knew my DH (Steve does) then you would know that he would fish in a mud puddle if he thought he could catch something.
I am about to talk him into it and the fishing ideas will help, but we may not be able to stay the whole week.... We'll see!
Hey Tom, surely we can meet up with y'all (Oklahoma Boomers) sometime before Branson. I keep checking to see if you have planned any camping trips but I haven't seen any lately.

OK! OK!
EVEN though its still hotter than a ???? I guess we'd better start thinking about a couple of fall campouts. I'm open for anything in September except for the weekend of the 23rd and October I'm booked for the period Oct 27th through Nov 5th so...Who wants to step up and suggest a date and place. Remember, you who step up can plan it close to you, Thats a plus! Now who's first?
