| Where two or more rigs are gathered together...... a great time is had by all! This weekend, Jay and Stella Coffman's big Retirement Bash, could not have been better. The weather was great, all the sites were filled, more food was consumed than the law should allow and the retirement festivities were bittersweet, but moving! 40 rigs came from far and wide to celebrate and honor Jay and Stella's years as Area Leaders - it was wonderful to see "old" friends and make new ones throughout the weekend. WELCOME TO OUR NEWBIES FROM RICHMOND The Chris Meunier (pronounced MOON-YEA) family: Chris, Jan and their sons, Quinn and Carson ...and guests Weldon and "Mama" (Phyliss) May and nieces, Peyton and Pressley from the Plano area. I know we'll see a lot more of them in years to come! GOOD TO SEE sons and daughters, grandkiddoes from a number of our Boomers! We are a family and it's a pleasure to see extended family come share a wonderful weekend anytime they can! A ROUND OF APPLAUSE TO Damon McCullum and his family AND Joe French from CAMPING WORLD who came to spend the day with the Texas Boomers! It's always an honor to have them come....and of course we LOVE the goodie bags and giveaways they come bearing! Hope everyone had a chance to look through (and drool over) the rig they brought for display MUCH APPRECIATION TO An event of such magnitude would not come off so smoothly without lots of people behind the scenes ...thank you to each one for the part you played whether it be meal signups, hosting the mudbug meal for early arrivals, serving the bbq, setting up/cleaning up the rally hall, hanging posters..whatever part you played, please accept my notes of appreciation! Everyone pitches in and that's what makes it a family affair! And a special thank you to the ladies who went with me to get the cakes I forgot!!!! SPECIAL NOTES OF THANKS A special note of thanks to the JOLLY ROGERS PLAYERS ( Ted and Donna Rogers, LeAnne Rigsby and Bob Wurch) for the awesome portrayl of the "retired life of Jay and Stella Coffman" and to Don Allen for the hours poured into making the THROUGH THE YEARS slideshow capturing special moments and memories of our years with the Coffmans! TO JAY AND STELLA COFFMAN This weekend was a true testament that the bonds of friendship go deep. We appreciate your years of Area Leader-ship and thank you for all the great times you've put together! We celebrate your retirement and wish you well as you live "the dream" Have fun on all your travels and always remember, you have a host of Texas Boomer friends who'd love to see you as often as you can come sit by the campfire! HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU...UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN! Sandy

First of all, I want to thank Madame Boomer for putting this retirement bash together for me. I was honored to have been chosen as the leader of the Houston area Boomers, and I loved every minute of it.
Thanks also go to all the cooks and helpers in putting everything together. I don't know how it could have gone any better. well, there was that one little boo boo of forgetting to pick up the cake.....
Ther performers were wonderful; the acting was superb and the helpers were great! Don's slide show was very moving with the photos of old times and some recent times.
Thanks to everyone that attended and helped me celebrate my time, and I hope that everyone had as much fun as I did.
Thanks again everyone, and I'll see you again at another rally or somewhere on the road.

Jay and Stella,
We wish you the best on your upcoming travels and to your retirement. I hope that Eddie and I get there one day to explore the open road wherever it may take us. You both have been so kind to our family. I know that our paths will cross again over time. I hope your trip to New Mexico and Colorado is wonderful. Take care and be safe out there on the road. Good luck to both of you and enjoy your new life as full timers.
Kelly, Eddie and Cody
