Since some of you don't know how it works, here are some rules and details about the "Chinese Auction" will plan to have at Burleson. We would ask that everyone bring at least one or more if you like "white elephant" gift (new, old, used, nice, bad, gag, or otherwise) wrapped in such a way that no one will know what it is (brown paper bag, taped up box, black garbage bag etc.)
As the auctioneer, I will hold up one of the "gifts" and open the bidding. All bids will open for a dime minimum and raises must be in a minimum of a nickle. The maximum bid for each gift is $5. Once that bid is reached bidding stops and whoever bid the $5 wins the gift. The auctioneer may accept any amount he deems OK at anytime, however, and some gifts might go for much less that the $5 maximum. We will continue the auction until all gifts are gone. NO RECYCLYING GIFTS ! Youu here that Pollock ?
So bag/box up those things you have laying around or go buy some stuff at the dollar store and bring them to the rally and join in the fun !

Aw shucks, Don, you're taking all the fun out it! we LOVE getting you all flustered and seeing how creative Polock is at getting those gifts recycled and how he is VERY adept at getting Minnie Ruppr to get them past you!!! That's a sideshow in itself!!!

Don,
I know that you got flustered with "us" recycling the gifts, but consider this...
it helped raise MORE money for the club, as well as it was fun to watch people's reactions. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and got a big kick outta' it.
And no one seemed to be upset at getting recycled gifts...huh, Madame Boomer (the door stop)?
Please reconsider your recycling rule (it's for the $$good$$ of the club).
Love ya! You're the BEST!

Folks the same rule was in effect at the last auction. You just gonna have to be more sneaky about it this time cause I am gonna be watching closely.

Besides that, if'n Don changed the rule, we wouldn't have the fun of watching him get all flustered trying to catch us!
We'll just have to be extra sneaky this year.

I would have no problem publicly embarrassing you if you get caught and imposing a monetary fine on the perpertrator committing the act.
So just be aware this year that I am wise to you all.

Extra Bags, Extra staples, tape ...

If everyone bids.
BUT, I DO CHALLENGE EVERYONE TO MAKE AT LEAST .... HMMMM. $50.00 FOR THE GROUP.
"Good Luck, Don"
Love you guy. and miss those boys. They actually made me think about a career change ...

You Know we gotta play by the rules.
Scott and David enjoyed acquiring a new Aunt this summer as well.
School Teacher Not sure I'd go that far.
