the LaRALLY website www.LaRally.com has been updated with beautiful photos of the campground, taken by KIWI. Take a look at where you can be come November!

Currently, we have 28 rigs coming and there is plenty of room for more.

There will be authentic Jambayla Friday night, provided by Don(W5IT)and Innovative RV. Saturday is a free day to allow exploration of the many sights around Cajun Country, or to just relax with friends both old and new at the campground. Saturday night's potluck dinner sign up sheet will be posted later, when we get closer to the event. There are two true Cajun restaurants nearby with live music and dancing for those who prefer to "eat out".

Rumor has it that a game or two of Texas Holdem may break out, and I'm hoping some of our Louisiana members will offer boure' "lessons" for any adventurous players.

For anyone who wants to join in the fun, and come meet other iRV2.com members, please go to the LaRally Scheduled thread, highlighted above, to sign up. There is no need to send any money now, as you will pay directly to the campground upon arrival. "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler"

This LaRally thing just keeps getting BETTER and BETTER! We now have a generous offer from Bill & Geri Blansfield to PROVIDE all attendees with a pancake and sausage BREAKFAST on Saturday morning from 7:00 till 8:30 AM. If YOU need an alternative meat, -YOU bring it-we will get it cooked up for you!

There is already the free Jambalya on Friday night, provided by Don (W5IT) and Innovative RV. So, it looks like the only meals YOU need to provide for are lunch on Sat. and the POTLUCK supper on Saturday night. POTLUCK sign up sheet to be posted by October, I Promise!

Oh yeah, did I mention there will be snacks provided for the Friday and Saturday late-afternoon "Happy Hour" sessions?? You do need to bring your own beverages!

IF you still need to "sign up", please go to the LaRally "SCHEDULED" thread highlighted above and let us know you are coming.

We MAY have another susprise attraction or two to be announced later, so keep an eye on the UPDATE thread as we get closer to "Passing a GOOD Time in Cajun Country"

As of Friday 9-9-05 LaRally is STILL SCHEDULED TO BE HELD. There is hope that some of the storm evacuees staying at BWRVR will have been able to go home by the end of October, and therefore spaces for our rally will be available. PLEASE WATCH FOR UPDATES TO BE POSTED IN THE HIGHLIGHTED THREAD TITLED "SCHEDULED" AT THE TOP THE SCR FORUM. That said, I know many are having to review their plans to attend. For our members from Florida and other points east of Louisiana, the I-10 bridges over Lake Ponchartrain are knocked down, similar to Pensacola Bay bridges after Ivan last year. The devastation in NOLA is not fully known yet. It is safe to say, at this time that west bound traffic will require serious detours to get to BWRVR in Carencro, La. THERE IS NO RUSH TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATIONS RIGHT AWAY. No money has been paid, and I'd like to remain hopeful that most will be ready for a friendly diversion such as LaRally.

Please stay tuned, ED

Ed -

At our recent Anniversary Rally in Burleson, the question was asked MANY TIMES by the Texas Boomers IF the LARally was still on.

At that time, none of us could know the extent of Katrina. We are holding on to hope that things will slowly get back to normal (or as normal as can be under the circumstances) and we can still come to Louisiana for the Rally! Keep us posted.

Sandy

Is there any further news about the La. rally?

Like Sandy said in her previous post, we all hold out our hopes that the damage was minimal and that things will return to normal soon and we can come to Louisiana for some more fun.

The Good Sam Fall Samboree in Rayne, LA which was to occur during the same time period has been cancelled.

This is not a notice of cancellation for the "iRV2.com LaRally".
