Yes, there are RV size lots for sale in the Valley. Many are in RV parks -- some are not.

I'd check with real estate agents and see what might be available. On the water (salt) would mean S Padre Island, Port Isabel, area....

I'm in a RV park in the Valley (Weslaco, TX) that just rents spaces -- there are nearby parks that sell lots as well, but no water here. Just North of us are a couple of small parks that are on a large lake (just north of Elsa) - have a friend that camps there and he FISHES!! Walks to the water.

You can also check with the Rio Grande Valley Chamber of Commerce as they offer a catalog of RV parks and show what ones sell sites.

Very seldom do you see sites for sale in the local newspaper-.

being on the water would be great, but i just want to be somewhere within 20-40 minutes of the gulf coast.

since i am retiring there, i thought i would buy a lot instead of renting one. i don't care if it is in a park or on separate land by itself.

thanks for all the info.

Beachcomber, would you let me know if you find some RV lots for sale in South Texas. We live in Galveston and are thinking of a lot in Rockport, to Harlingen areas.

Thanks,

Hi fellow beachcombers - We sold our second lot and are keeping our first lot at Gulf Waters RV on the beach at Port Aransas Texas. The lot we own is rented when we are not there. I am so glad we purchased four years ago. You cannot go wrong owning your own beachfront property. I am not sure if anyone else has any others for sale. However the developers just opened the new clubhouse section. It is a great place to live and/or recreate - check out the website and contact them gulfrv.com
