Welcome Lightnin 78,
We love Louisiana folks. Just getting ready to drive thru your state on way home to FL after summer in CO. We don't get to do rallys, but always say hi if we see you on the road. Enjoy your travels.

Glad to have you here. Nothing wrong with the folks from our neighboring state. Shoot we even let Don W5IT come over to Texas every once in a while.

Hope you can make one of the trips over to Texas.

Ken

Well I am kind of partial to them myself. Welcome to the forum! I am glad to see more "Swamp critters" around here myself. For the longest time I felt like I was all by my lonesome as far as Louisiana folks go. But more and more are finding the way here.

I live a ways "Up the Baya from ya". About 20 miles Northeast of Baton Rouge. But I got kin folk in Thibodaux and pass through Raceland when I go down to G.I and Fourchon fishin.

Don't pay no mind to dem "Texans" pickin on me. They do it all the time. ( Of course I do the same to them too! ) I have shared campfires with a LOT of good folks over there. In fact I'll be over in the Woodlands at a place they like to hang out in Oct. (Oct. 5th-7th at Rayford Crossing) But don't tell them now, I like to sneak across the border when they ain't lookin.

Again welcome to the forum!

Catch Ya Later,

Don

Hey ... may I officially welcome you to IRV2! (My Uncle Ray would be pretty disappointed in me if I didn't welcome you - BUT ... if your accent is as heavy as his... I may ask ya to "talk" a little slower! )
I am sure you will find everyone here quite friendly - no matter where you are from... the great thing about this group of people... if you have any type of camping setup - you will be welcomed with open arms!

Again..welcome to IRV2.. come back and post often!

Sorry that you dont feel welcome to the RV forum. you just haven't met up with the Texas BOOMERS.
We have belonged to 3 different clubs for RVing and the TEXAS BOOMERS are the most fun loving, caring folks you could ever have around! Our head mistress Boomer, Sandy... is the most friendly person and her husband Rusty is the same way. Our Group leader Don and his wife Pat also... go out of their way to be kind to every one! We Texans take offense when some one says we dont care or arent friendly folks..

Thanks everybody, I feel much better now. M2Kelly, I did not mean to offend you with my last entry. It's just when I joined, I noticed some that had joined after me got a lot more welcomes than we did. Therefore I assumed it was because I am from Louisiana. Sorry for the assumption, it will not happen again.
Forgive me PLEASE

Lightnin78 -

No offense taken my friend! We probably didn't see your first post! I guarantee it is an oversight! Us Texans LOVE our neighbors to the east.

We're all in the South Central Section which includes Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi! So we've got friends from all around the area.

To be honest, W5IT has been so lonesome over there in Bay-tawn Ruuuuge because we need to pull some more of our Louisana friends out of the bay-i-ou and onto the forum!

Welcome to the forum and keep on postin!

Sandy

PS: Anytime you get a chance to sneak across the border, we'd love to have you! And we're not opposed to sneaking to the east either!!!

lightin78,

nope, no one is ignoring you. Sort of depends on when you make a post and who is on after that. Usually a bunch of the moderators try to check things out early, but sometimes we are busy and just get a chance to peek in and off we go, trying to remember to get back on later and welcome the newbies.

Have fun camping...

Ken
