Hi Denise and Scott -
You bet! We'd love to see you! I'm sure there'll be goings-on all throughout the day, the supper on Saturday night and the retirement festivities after that!
If ya'll plan to stay for the catered bbq supper - which you are certainly most welcome to, just sign up on the meals thread so you can be included in the head count!
Was it ya'lls rv out at our storage lot that had the rod through it when Hurricane Ike came through? I "thought" Teresa told me it was. Did it get repaired?

Thanks Sandy. I'll check the meals thread.
We have the fifth wheel now and we're closer to the front. It did happen to whoever took our place in the back. The whole canopy with the cement still attached to the poles pulled out of the ground and blew up and then fell back down.

Sandy please sign us up for Thursday arrival instead of Friday, leaving on Sunday, or I can call Rayford if you wish.

Sue Y just emailed and said it was the Chappels rig! They also know a bunch of the Boomers and camp with a few of them from time to time. There's four of us Texas Boomers who store our rigs out there and I knew it was either ya'll or the Chappels.
That was the wierdest thing I ever saw in my life! Those huge poles were sunk at least 2 feet in concrete in the ground and the hurricane pulled them up like they were toothpicks!
See ya'll soon - I can't wait!

Sandy, can you change our arrival to Friday? I'm going to FL to give our daughter a hand with her house (and we don't like mudbugs!) so we'll come in then instead of Thursday. Thanks.

Sandy, I did get that Friday off from work, so we will definitely be there. Can't wait - we've never been to Rayford. Thanks, Diane B.

Hi Barb,
I have a meal sign-up forum under this one called "Retirement Bash MEALS". Come visit me! We have a crawfish boil on Thursday night (separate forum), dinner out or whatever for Friday night, potluck breakfast Saturday morning, and a catered dinner for Saturday night.

This doesn't have anything to do with the Bash, well maybe it does in a way. I am an avid reader and have lotz and lotz of paperbacks. Is there anyone of you boomers in this same boat? If so do you think we could set up a "swap shop" at our rallies to help us all save a little money and get rid of some of our stuff?
