What a difference a few weeks make. Cami is now comfortable with me and comes to me on her own a lot. When we first got her, she would wolf down her food and, when left outside, would do her "business" just a few feet off the back patio. Now, she eats over a period of time. While I admit it was a lot colder then and she doesn't like to be cold, she now takes her good ol' sweet time and tours the perimeter of the back yard before picking a spot.

The vet told us that we are very lucky - his experience with rescues is that none of them were a social as Cami has turned out to be. And to think that just a little over 7 months ago, she wasn't long for this world. It just goes to show what wonderful companions some people are missing.
