Over this weekend, we decided to go to the Gulf Coast RV Resort in Beaumont Texas. This is a new park about 10 miles west of Beaumont with large pull thru sites with all hookups.

The park's website is: Gulf Coast RV Resort

The dates are Friday August 12th thru Sunday August 14th.

Directions are, traveling east on IH-10, take exit 845 and the park will be on the right. Traveling west on IH-10, take exit 846 and cross over.

If everyone wants to fend for themselves on Friday evening and Saturday lunch, the park serves a continental breakfast every morning, so we can do a covered dish supper on Saturday evening and that should cover all the meals.

I will make the reservations at the park for everyone. Looking forward to the weekend!

1. Coffmans 12-14th
2. Hartleys 11-13th
3. Rigsbys 13-14th
4. Robinson 12-14th
5. Terry 12-14th
6. Rogers 11-14th
7. Wilson 12-13th
8. Wurch 12-14th
9. LaPoint 12-14th

Jay...
We met another couple at Rayford Crossing and invited them to join everyone in Beaumont. They are Mary Ellen and Willie Ramie (live in Atascosita in Humble, TX).

We'll be in Beaumont, but not until Saturday morning, leaving on Sunday. Can you put us by the LaPoints?

We sure enjoyed Saturday night at the Boardwalk in Kemah with everyone!

See you on the 13th.

I was thinking.....instead of having a potluck dinner on Saturday, would anyone be interested in crossing the border into the wilds of Louisiana to see what might be edible over there in the land of shrimp and crawfish.

I've even heard rumors there that there are large varieties of food available at establishments that offer games of chance and skill.

That's sounds like lotsa' fun! We're game (notice the pun?)...whatever you and everyone decides is okie-dokie with us!

P.S. We went to the animal shelter on Canino Rd., and I found a 2 year old female shih tsu, but someone's beat me to her...they're picking her up on Saturday. My heart's broken. She was a sweetie and would make an excellent camping dog.

I didn't read all the posts like I should have, but gaming for food or greenbacks in Luzianna is fine by us.

Hi Ed,
We were hoping to just sneak across the border. I'm sure the lure of the casinos will call. You are welcome to come on over too!
