Northeast Rally - Lake Tawakoni - 2-4 Jun 06

The 1st of 2 Rallies in the Northeast Area for 06 is being planned for the weekend of 2-4 June at Kenny's Landing in East Tawakoni, TX. Visit Kenny's site by Clicking Here.

I have talked to Kenny on the phone and Pat and I will camp at his Park this weekend to finalize details.

Planned Activities for June are:

Friday - 2 June:
Day - Arrival/set up
Night - Outdoor fish fry.

Saturday - 3 June:
Day - Shopping at 1st Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX (30 miles away)or Fishing or just relaxing.
Night - Party on Kenny's Party Barge

Sunday - 4 June:
Big going home pot luck brunch and departure

All Texas Boomers are invited to sign up.

More details to follow after we meet with Kenny this weekend.

PS: We are also planning another Rally in the Northeast Area for November over the Thanksgiving Holiday - stay tuned !

This one isn't going to work folks. Lake Tawakoni is about 15 feet below normal and Kenny's fishing pier and party barge is on lot's of dry lake bed. If and when the Lake is back to normal, we will try to schedule there.

We will find another park and also change the date to April 28 - 30 which will be the First Monday Trade Days in Canton for May.

I will post a separate thread and sign up for it as soon as we find a suitable park.

Hi Robert,

This particular rally has been cancelled but we have another one scheduled for Murchison, TX near Canton for the end of April. We will go by your Moms place and say hello, and maybe catch some lunch. After we eat we will know whether to tell her to retire or nor.

Bummer that this did not work out. Now with all the rain, the lake may be full again.

Was looking forward to a close-in rally --- daughter, Laura, lives on this lake too.

Hey Don - long time no see. How are you and Pat doing ? We will schedule this for later in the year when we know the lake is full and the party barge is floating. So stay tuned.

Meantime why don't ya'll join us down in Murchison the end of April. There is another sign up thread on here for it.
