We have never been there. What do you see from this tour or is it just the ride? We might be interested depending on what the attraction is. Thanks!

The water taxi is a fun thing to do to see the waterways around the Woodlands, but its been awhile since we've done it and I don't remember how much it cost. I've got to go to work on Monday, so I won't be able to go on Sunday night, but there may be others that want to.

Sandy had posted this on page 7 of the Christmas Rally discussion. We didn't get to go then but I have had a few people tell me they are interested. Hopefully we can get a good group together. Sorry you can't make it, Jay. How about Stella?

In answer to Getaway's question, it's just a ride. I believe it costs $5 per person, but I'm not positive.

Ah, the teacher catches everything. I have never been on the ride, but expect it to be especially nice at Christmas with all the decorations. I am anticipating it to be similar to the ride on the River Walk in San Antonio except a much smaller scale. The advertised price is $4.00 for adults under 65. Yes, it is just a ride.... but it should be a very pretty ride.

Barbara, we here in The Woodlands call it a "ride to nowhere." It leaves the basin near P. F. Chang's and winds it's way past the Marriott, the Pavilion, the restaurants and condos that have risen on the edge, out into the lake you can see from I-45 and then back again. The lights are pretty, it is relaxing and shows off The Woodlands very well. The boats are enclosed so it's a bit different from SA's Riverwalk that are open. It takes about 45 minutes.

Thank you for the information, Donna. I am looking forward to the ride, the lights, and the atmosphere.

I have added your names to the list. Maybe when we all get there we can discuss riding the trolley and/or eating out before the boat ride. I am open to suggestions.

Eating out before the boat ride sounds great. Don't forget your warm coats either.

A great place to eat with a group is Buca de Beppo in The Woodlands. It's right up the road from Rayfor Cross on I-45 in front of the Portofino Shopping Center. They serve family style Italian meals that are reasonably priced. There are different themed rooms to sit in including the Pope room around a large round table with the Pope's head in the middle. See me at Rayford Crossing if you're interested in going. We'll need reservations.
