Hate to hear that Warren, hope Gwen gets well soon and I know your eye is a problem as well. But know that we are thinking of you all.

Well Jerry, We're certainly glad to see you're still kicking down there. Heinz is trying to put together something for April so don't go too far away from the puter now.

I talked to Gerald and Kathurn last night (all the kinfolk are checking in on Gwen) and they are ready to CAMP anywhere.
Thanks for the thoughts and well wishes, will keep you posted on the progress.
Gene, good to hear from yall, hope you didn`t get scorched in all this campfar gone wild. I saw some hay afire here on the west side of Oklahoma City and we had some grass fire smoke drift over but no flames. Guess it helps to live a block from the Red Dog, all that beer foam kinda keeps it moist here.
See yall in the funnies, Warren

Hey, looks like everyone is slowly getting ready to start camping again. Actually I don't think I ever stopped. We are heading to Branson Next weekend the17th. Going to camp just south of there towards Harrison if I can find a place open. Then maybe catch a show or something, or if Marilyn has her way "SHOPPING" LOL. Well let me know when you decide on a Campout place, and we'll try to make it.

My husband and I moved back to my hometown (Tulsa) last summer. We have heard some great stories about the Texas Boomer club(s) so we are interested in hearing more about the Oklahoma Boomers. We used to live in the Dallas area and have some camping friends who are active with the Texas Boomers.
Can someone tell us more about the group, when you will have some get togethers, where etc. Thanks for your help!!

Hi Cat,
Welcome back to Oklahoma. We'd love to have
you join the Okie Boomers. We are trying to
get the group together in early April. We
wanted it to be the first weekend but the park
we were planning on going to doesn't open until
Saturday and that would only give some of the
group 1 nite since they still work. Our group isn't very large but we do have a great time together. Keep your eyes on our post, we hope
to get an outing organized. The place we planned to go is Belle Starr COE near Eufaula.

Hey Cat, Glad yall found us. Seems like we do most of our camping over near your hometown. If you look at the line down below where you wrote Cat it will have most of the hometowns listed on each post. As you can tell by my last post (two above yours) I have a sister-in-law, in-law that is Kat. As you can tell by this whole thread, we sometimes (?) have a time trying to decide where to camp, looks like April 1 will be Belle Starr over by Lake Eufaula. Until then go up to the Toyhaulers and look at things to do on a rainy cold day,
See yall in the funnies, Warren

OkieCat, glad to have you aboard. Oklahoma suffers from a thing called cold weather and they tend to shut down a lot of campgrounds during the winter.
We just moved back to Texas from Chouteau, OK (40 miles east of Tulsa at 412 and 69). Keep watching this area and you will see where the next gathering will be. If you haave a favorite place, chime in and suggest it.
Ken

Thanks for the welcome y'all! With the ice, snow, & cold we are having this weekend it makes us long for camping weather even more!
I will keep an eye on this section, maybe we can meet up with you boomers this season!

HI Cat,
Nice to see some new Oklahoma Boomers There will be some get togethers soon, you can count on it. I was going out this weekend, untill the snow hit. I decided to cancel and make it another weekend instead. Its allways nice to be the only camper in the campgrounds LOL

Cat, good to see you here cause we will have a get together, I think Heinz is in charge of this one, stay tuned!
Heinz, Is the Belle Star deal the one where we were before or a different place? Or is it the place at the lake past the private place?
Make it and lets do it. I'm still wondering if my foot is going to make it or not but lets plan it anyway.
Thanks!

Hi All,
We called the park to see exactly when they open and to ask if they could let us in a day early and they said no that it opens on the 1st so unless we want to change the rally till the next weekend, Some won't get to stay long.
Give us your feed back on the weekend we want.
This COE park is past the private park we went to last year, further down the same road.
We liked the West Loop. sites w-23 to w-32 are pull thru with 50amp. and water.
OK everyone give us feed back and lets get this thing rolling.
Heinz and Betty

Heinz, the one night deal will work for us since I don't want to show up at 9 or 10 at night and try to get parked so we'll just plan on Sat morning anyway. Thats if my foot will allow us to make it so I'm fine with whatever the rest of the folks want to do.
