A couple people have expressed interest in coming to my place on Hudson for the 4th of july weekend, I have enough camp spaces for about 6 to 8 campers maybe more. So if you need a place to camp for the fourth, drop on in. The fireworks show at Salina is pretty good.

Lee, we really appreciate the hospitality from you and Butch and the lovely ladies. Sure feel like we would be imposing on on ya'll if it gets to be to often and a habit. If you really and truly mean it, we'd love to land up there over the 4th. We could come up when ever you are ready.

I keep trying to find a way to haul the smoker...but it is too big and not worth a second trip.

Ken It really isn't an imposition, we always like company. Besides you guys always come up with some good food or something. If it becomes a habit, I'll let you guys pay the electric or mow ha ha. I'll find out when Butch is going to get up there, maybe Wensday, or thursday. It'll be friday morning after 8:30am before I get there, But any time the gate is open you can come in. I'll let you know when by this friday.\
Last year we had a large smoker up there, but I don't know if they are coming or not.

In that case count us in for arrival Friday afternoon. Jut one request from the lady of the RV...save her a spot with shade all day! ...not exactly a request, more of a demand if you get my drift.

More than happy to pay you for the water and power...

Ken

I'll try to keep the same spot you had before open, you may be the first there anyways. If anyone is coming who hasn't been there before I can post a map again.

Map

Lee, your map did not work, so I hope this is what you wanted here.
Thanks Ken, I changed the map url to a better one though. Sometimes SBC just doesn't want you to post a picture from thier site.

Boy Lee, what a great invite. The kids always like to come out on the 4th and go to Keystone to watch fireworks from the water along with the usual cookout and all that so...guess we'll stay home and do that unless they change their minds, but, thanks anyway, appreciate the invite. If anything changes we'll let you know.

Jerry, you been using Warren's computer? I click on the link and I get a map. You can also get there through the URL at the bottom of Lee's signature.

I have one of the round water smokers that I will bring along.

Since this is Lee's party, we'll let him set up when we plan to party...eat...or what ever.

Sorry for not getting back sooner, I went to the lake thursday instead of friday this week.
The gates will probably be open Thursday afternoon so any time after that is ok.
Ken, Im not a good planner, all day is eating time to me. So I'll try to defer that to Marilyn or something.

Well, I plan to bring the little water smoker...presume you will have plenty of pecan to use on it. If no one objects, we'll just go free-for-all Friday evening (eat or do what ever you want) and do whatever we desire. I'm bring a chunk of cow and some chicken to put on the smoker for Saturday. Bring along whatever you want and we'll make room on the cooker. I was thinking good old American hamburgers for Sunday night. We'll bring along some buns and patties. We need someone to bring buns and wieners for hot dogs and the trimmings for both (chili, lettuce, onions, pickles, mustard, tomatoes, mayo, etc). From there we need to fill in. We need side dishes for Friday and Saturday night as well.

Also, since ya'll are such gracious hosts and hostesses, we should all give you something to pay for the electric and water we use there. I know you are not getting it for free. Would you object to $10.00 per rig per night. Then I would not feel like we are muching. So bring your wallet to keep the money in.

Ken

Ken, no I wouldn't object at all.
There is suppose to be a large commercial smoker comming, but I don't control it and don't know what room they might have in it.
But its relitives of Sue and Butch, so we might check with them on Friday.
For everyone that Wants to go to Salina's fireworks Display, bring some Off or Cutters and A lawn chair to sit in. There is a dyke that runs aroud the town that we sit atop of for viewing, or you can see it from the town or carnaval. It starts at dark 30. There may be bigger displays around, but this one is always pretty good. I do have a boat ramp if you bring a boat or jet ski.
Jerry If you can't get the map let me know and I'll email it to you. There is only one set of guard rails on indian springs road and that is where my place is. Take the road slow and always stay on the paved surface, there are some sharp curves, but nothing that would bother you too much. They just pop up fast. And if all else fails, we'll find you and lead you in.
Lee
