As much as I hate to wait so long for our next rally, what do you say about September 30, October 1 and October 2 for our next rally. If this does not work for you let me know and we'll look at other dates. As for a location, I need suggestions on some areas for Ft. Gibson Lake, Tenkiller Lake or Eufaula Lake.

We could plan a get together in July or August, but I think the heat will be a problem for an all outdoors rally.

Let's get ready to party...

Gentry creek
How about Gentry Creek on Lake Eufaula. It is just on the north side of I-40. We haven't checked it out yet but I just happen to run across it on the Corp. of Engineer list and it sounds like it might be pretty good. And if anyone happen to be in the area they could check it out. Those dates sound good to us.

Heinz, I looked at the site sizes and they have a very few over 30' or 32'. We are 36.5' on the trailer and 53' hitched and need 60' when un hitched. They had a couple at 40' and a 50' over by the boat ramp.

Tom is longer than we are and so are Rob and the Girls. Time like this, I yearn for a shorter rig.

Pat and I would love to rally with y'all once again and those dates would be fine with us.

I would like to suggest this location -BUNCOMBE CREEK on Lake Texoma.

Map:

Another suggestion would be Lake Murray State Park. Never been to either of them but they look adequate and are closer to Texas. Might draw a few more Texas Boomers ifn y'all can put up with us.

We will try to make no matter the campground - I'm retireded ya know.

OK folks, what about Lake Texoma S.P. just outside Kingston? It is one of the resort Parks in the state system.

Here is a map of the area.

Well...If I had some feedback to give I would. But I don't....so I won't. We'll work with whatever you'all decide, if its too far to make it on Friday night, we'll come down on Saturday. I'd say we're probably limited to about a three hour drive on Friday night, and still get there before the gates close or people throw things when we drive in.

Tom, you have any other suggestions a bit farther north. Some of the Corp parks have a limited # of sites that will take the big rigs.

No I don't Ken. It'll take a scouting trip unless someone down that way knows a place that has sites big enough. We have some relatives that camp at lake Murry that I'll see in a couple of weeks, I'll ask them about it. Everything I'm kind of familar with is up around here and even then I'd need to scout again to make sure of the sites at these parks.

If anyone is traveling and can check out a park please do so. The main thing is room to get in and around along with a number of large sites that are at least 55-60 ft deep or long enough to back in a 40 ft trailer and park a CC dually.

I'm beginning to think a trailer is just like everything else, you need one for hauling toys and one for camping. Like boats, need a big one and a small one, car trailers, big and small. Cars/trucks, its all the same!

Hope everyone has a great 4th!

The Point
Check this one out. It is one of our
favorite.
We just stayed home for the 4th and getting
a lot of time in the Pool
Hope you'all having fun
PS: Most have doublewide driveways to park the
truck or what ever. May have to move the date
up to befor Sep.13 need to check on that.
Just one more suggestion. But we will go
with what ever. RETIRED you know
