Park and fly DFW

Hello,

Flying out of DFW to see the in-laws and and was wondering if anyone could recommend RV parks in the area. I did my own search but the first few I called seemed to not want to deal with it.

I'm looking to park and hook up for a day or two on the front side of my trip, move the motorhome to a parking lot or secure storage on site, then stay for a day or two on the backside of the trip. Obviously there will be some storage fee for the week that we are gone in addition to the nights stay.

RV is a Class A DP (2014).

Thanks

I can't think of any RV parks within a decent distance that would have an onsite storage service.

Have you tried The Vineyards RV park in Grapevine? Also at DFW Airport Parking lots I have seen a few Motor Homes parked in some of their lots. I would call the Airport and ask. Destiny RV Park in the Denton/Lewisville area might be an option.

Yes, Vineyards is a really nice park, a little expensive. It is very close to DFW, as in right in the fligth path.

The vineyards was my first choice. Unfortunately, when I spoke with them on the phone they immediately said NO.

I'm willing to drive an hour or so from any campground to and from DFW.

There a pretty nice park we have stayed for an overnight a couple times in on the west side of Ft With where I30 and I20 merge, called Cowtown. We have also stayed at one near Arlington called Trader's Village, because my uncle was living there. It is OK. Both of these have full time residents.

Check out these:
Shady Creek RV park and Storage North of DFW, near the Dallas North Toll Way.
Texan RV Park in Mansfield TX.
North Texas Jelly Stone on the North Frontage Rd of I-35W in Burleson.
Oak Creek West of Weatherford on I-20

Thanks a bunch!

We're coming up from South Texas so the Texan RV park made the most sense. Overnight fees are reasonable and the storage while we are gone is $3 a night!

I used to store my coach at a facility across the street from the Texan RV Park, so stopped there many times to dump the tank, get propane, etc. It's an alright place and nice folks running it. Mostly a full timer kind of place but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there.

Thanks for all suggestions. Unfortunately due to problems with the slide on my RV and Hurricane Harvey we were unable to stay at the RV park.

I will say that everytime I called them on the phone they were quick to answer and very courteous. They were very understanding of our desire to "park and fly" and were reasonable in their daily storage rate.
