We're getting close to 'rally time' and I'm definitely getting ready to roll! We have quite a few things going on during the event, so be sure to update the "schedule" so you can participate in any/all that you want to.

Meal Signups -
Barbara is handling those on another thread (and doing a great job I might add). If you haven't signed up, make her job easier by doing so this week! We especially NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY ARE COMING TO THE BBQ SUPPER so she can place the order!

Site Assignments
We are booked w/ the exception of one back in site. If you need to cancel for any reason, please let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE so you aren't charged for one night's site fee!

Request for a switch in site #'s
Due to a situation at the rv park (their oversight) IF someone in a pull through site is willing to move over to back in site # 8 - please let me know quickly. The staff at Rayford would forever be grateful! The backin sites are ample enough for a large rig, backs up to the fence with grass behind the rig for CLOSE doggie walk!

CAMPING WORLD IS JOINING US AND WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT I just made arrangements with Joe French this morning for Camping World to attend the rally! They will be bringing at least one coach and possibily a 5ver for us to drool over throughout the day on Saturday. They will also have "goodie bags" for every attendee at breakfast on Saturday morning as well as door prizes donated by Camping World for the attendees to draw!

Photos to the updated!
Don Allen will be bringing his "set up" to take photos on Saturday after breakfast to update the www.texasboomers.org pink scroll photo section. There are a number of Boomers that haven't yet had their "mug shots" taken!!!

Request for Photos
Don will be working on updating the www.texasboomers.org website to add last year's photos of all our events. IF you've taken photos and haven't gotten them to Don, please bring disc, usb thingy or whatever so he can download them on Saturday!

By golly, Miss Molly....I do believe that's all for this update!!!!

Sandy

Sandy, if it turns out we can come Thursday, will our site be available? I'm working on getting off from work early that Thursday. Diane B.

Miss Diane -

Let me call Rayford tomorrow (Wednesday) and see. The park is full that weekend with not another site to spare, but I'll email you privately, post here or call you when I know for sure if Thursday is available!

Sandy

Hey Sandy, If Rayford will reserve the closest parking spot to #8 where we can park the truck, we'll move for them. Dutch

Dutch -

thank you for the offer to move - as Ken said, they offered to move to back in #8 a while ago and it will work out better for them with Teddy, the elder dog!

it's always a "boomer shuffle" dance before any rally getting everyone settled into a site and I truly appreciate the offers I get from Boomers.

I'm getting ready to roll!
Sandy

DIANE IN TEXAS - you can officially arrive on Thursday

MS TALBOTT - grandmother of twins!!! You can officially come in on Thursday as well!!

Sandy

Gosh, we didn't mean to cause such an upheaval - I feel guilty now. My boss did approve my day off Thursday, so we'll arrive then - probably fairly late in the day. We never seem to be able to leave early. Thank you, Sandy, and everyone else involved. Diane.

Miss Diane -

You could never cause an upheaval! The Texas Boomer Shuffle happens every rally...so I'm gettin' really good at it!! The staff had a situation with a lady at the park who's been there and paid for over a month and leaving on Sunday the 22nd. The park had her scheduled to leave on Friday the 20th, but she'd paid through the 22nd Being the accomodating folks the Texas Boomers are, we were working towards keeping her in that site so she wouldn't have to move for two nights. I so appreciate how our folks are so willing to "shuffle" to help a fellow rv'r out!

Your site will be ready and waiting on you when you arrive! I, on the other hand, have to wait until Friday to see you....so keep the porch light on for me!

luv
Sandy
