A great big howdy to all ya'll.
How about all you Oklahoma Boomer types checking in and letting everyone know where you are. When we lived in northeastern Oklahoma, we had several good campouts and kinda wonder where everyone took off to.
One thing we had discussed and never had the chance to organize was a joint Oklahoma and north Texas rally somewhere along "The River". Any interest in this? We would certainly try to make a trek north to have a great time.
So please check in and let us know your thoughts.
Ken and Susan

Well we are new at being Oklahoma Boomers but since we camped with two other couples of Boomers recently I guess we qualify.
We are headed to Murchison in November because we have some wonderful friends who are Texas Boomers and they will be there.. So having a two state rally sounds like FUN, count us in.
Hey we have camped at Lake Texoma- Johnson Creek COE Park in the past and it might be a good place to have something like that. It's in Durant so that is just a short distance north of the Red River. Steve & Pat Wilson and Doug & Mar Robertson were there with us, yes I admit that proudly. So if you have any questions any of us can fill you in on that location.

Hi Ken
Well, I'd tend to say we're having a joint get together with the Texas folks in Murchison, so to speak, especially if you and Susan make it up.
It'll be interesting to see what response you get.
Thanks!

Tom, I was not considering the Canton rally...maybe I should have. But if is a fair distance south of "The River". I was thinking of something closer to Texoma.
Any others....
Ken

Pat and I were a part of that original discussion and are still very much interested in such a rally.
Ken, there will a representative group from both sides of the border at the Canton Rally so what say we make it a topic of discussiion at dinner Sat Nite and go from there.

Well, every one that is not here please raise your hand. LOL....
I'm here but just barely, don't have any rear brakes on the foretravel. I can get to places, but I cant stop when I'm going thru. Whent to Branson and didn't get stopped til Rola. LOL
I have been looking at the posts, but I'm stuck here til I can find the time to get the coach into the local repair shop.

Lee, glad to hear from ya'll. Not being able to stop could be a bit of a problem, especially down hill. Boy, if you pointed it south, you would roll right over the seawall in Galveston and into the Gulf. Maybe you need Marylyn to ride in the Jeep dinghy and when she sees the brake lights on the bus come on, STOMP on the Jeep brakes. Hey, just a thought.
Looks like it is getting close to the season to shut down and drain the rig for you.
We are planning to take the rig to Branson for the National Rally in July and will stop in your area on the way up or back...not sure at this point.
73's,
Ken

Hi guys, long time no see. Been VERY busy this summer(work not much play unfortunately). We are back in Stillwater, did take a little trip to Nashville, Branson and the New Mexico Balloon festival the last 3 weeks but home for a while now. Took an earlier trip this summer to Montanna, Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Colorado, lots of sights and national parks. Gene

Well Ken I asked her, I can't tell you what she said!!!! It was something on the line of No Thank you. LOL
I put the rig in the shop this week, the rear brakes are history, along with the drums. They are looking for some now. Probably won't have it back for a while. They haven't even checked the fronts yet. That's what that mountain driving will do for you.
