You're absolutely right: if we were to live permanently in one place, then we would rent the parking space throughout. We are from Germany and tour the United States in stages. End of the month we want to storage the RV in Houston. Then we come back to Houston in February 2014 and continue west direction, like Utah, Arizona, California and so on. Then we might storage in/near Los Angeles our RV. And so on ....

Walter,
You may have troubles finding a place on short notice. If you know for sure where you are gong to store for the season it may be best to really start early.
You are on one of the friendliest forums for RV travelers. It may be possible to make arrangements for a short term covered storage and have a "friendly" transfer the coach to an enclosed one. There may be other options available.
By the way, my ancestry goes back to Berghorst, Germany. My Great, Great, Great Grandfather is as far back as i can trace, right now.

Hi Wayne,
since a week we are back in germany.
We have found a beautiful and - hopefully - secure storage in Spring / Tx. We have a good feeling.
The next trip we plan for January - June 2014 in Texas and New Mexico.
Question: which Berghorst is it? In North Rhine-Westphalia?
Thanks a lot.
greetings from Germany
Walter

Walter,
Glad you found storage that meets your needs. When you come back to the United States we are just down the road apiece from Spring. Anywhere you set up there for a couple/three days is just a hop-skip-and-a-jump down the road for us to visit, or you to visit us.
Thanks for the inquiry. I'm not sure if the spelling is Berghorst or Borghorst, but it is close to the Stienfurt area so I guess that would be the North Rhine-Westphalia area.
If the name wasn't changed when they came here than back there it was Dilling.
