Madame Boomer

It probably doesn't matter but I changed my mind about the kind of pies I am going to make, I think fresh strawberry would be even better.

Joan -

You can change your mind any day of the week and I won't mind as long as fresh strawberry pie is the topic!!!

Hi all y'all,
I just scanned through the 8 pages of posts but did not see a menu! What day is the big dinner going to be on?? I am in Victoria and will try and drive over one day. Have to make a quick trip to Houston one day, just not sure if it will be Saturday or Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again---finally!

Hugs,
Ree

Howdy Folks,
Kim also wants to know what to bring for food. Just let us know what is needed. Anybody up for deer sausage? Good to hear from you Ree, looking forward to seeing you.

Thanks Y'all for another enjoyable Rally. Mary and I enjoyed everything. What a great bunch of people. We left Monday at 10:00 and were home safe and sound by 2:00. Mandy wanted me to thank y'all for the kind words and rubs.

We had the best time this Memorial Day. We even enjoyed our nightly showers. It did keep you in at night, but it washed the bugs off the front of the rig. Bob, Pita and I made it home safely. Can not wait to travel again. Again, Sandy you are the best. I don't know how you do it time and time again. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for a great rally!! Food was wonderful --- could have had less of a breeze at night however. But thats why they call us Boomers, I guess.
Next rally for us will be the National!!!

<span class="ev_code_BLUE">THE UNFORGETTABLE TEXAS BOOMERS MEMORIAL DAY RALLY 2005 AT SERENDIPTITY RV PARK IN PALACIOS, TEXAS</span>

As always, when the Texas Boomers get together for a Rally, we never know what to expect! Despite heavy rains, muck and mud, we managed to have a WONDERFUL time!

The tornado that passed through the marina ripping 3 shrimp boats from their mooring and tearing the roof off a building in/near the RV park was NOT on my planned schedule of activities! Thankfully no one was injured and thankfully none of our rigs were damaged!

<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">KUDOES BY THE KILOMETERS</span>
There are many people to thank for the success of a rally...I only co-ordinate the wonderful volunteers who come in and make everything go smoothly. I kindly appreciate your accalades, but I couldn't do it without the help of the Texas Boomers! Each one of us pitches in and does what needs to be done. All I say is ....GIT 'ER DONE and ya'll help carry the load!

<span class="ev_code_RED">YOUR NEWBINESS IS NOW OVER</span>
We welcome Art and Dottie Haines, Don and Paja Harrison and Christian, Rusty and Jo Hollier, Dan and Tee Johnson, Vernon and Billie Johns to the Texas Boomers Group! We know we'll see you again! now that your "newbiness" is over!

I can't leave out Heinz and Betty Van Pelt who are honorary Texas Boomers. Ya'll can visit us from the great state of Oklahoma anytime you want too!

<span class="ev_code_RED">FIRST ANNUAL TEXAS HOLD'EM TOURNAMENT</span>
This was absolutely a hit! Thank you to Don Allen for pulling the tournament together AND providing the trophy (what a gorgeous bird!) for the winner! Art Haines won the trophy and 5500 pennies! Congratulations Art! Thanks to Art's generosity...I'll be spending the day at the bank tomorrow adding those pennies to the Texas Boomer fund.....that is IF I can carry the bag into the bank!!!!

<span class="ev_code_RED">LCR/CLR/RLC/....CRS!</span>
Leanne, you've started something! I have never seen ladies (and the guys too) get so involved in a game! Congratulations to the BIG WINNER Patti Kerlin...girl you broke us all!

<span class="ev_code_RED">ISLAND PARTY</span>
Sharon Bowen and I have wanted to do a luau for soooooooooooooooooooo long and it came to pass as great as we thought it would be! It was without a doubt the best yet!

Thank you to Sharon Bowen, Mary Palmer, Tee Johnson and Judy Hartley for all the fabulous decorations! The only thing we could have added to the festive occassion was a ton of sand brought in to put on the floor!

<span class="ev_code_RED">TO ALL OUR WONDERFUL SHRIMPERS!</span>
I've never seen so much shrimp in all my life! Thanks to Kitty Gardner, Jay Coffman, Jim Gardner, Harry Hartley....and anyone else who cooked all that wonderful food - ya'll did it up right!!!!

And speaking of food........what else can I say, but once again the Texas Boomers outdid themselves on the feasts!

<span class="ev_code_PINK">A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU</span>
to Mary Palmer and all the ladies who blessed me with another UNIQUE pink flamingo who will proudy be displayed in my rig! Ya'll are too good to me! Your love and friendship is equally appreciated!

Thank you, one and all, for BEING THERE! We all will have stories to tell!

Sandy

PS: Bob and Darlene, I got your message on my cell phone and hope you BOTH are doing better. We missed you terribly!
