Texas Boomer Mid Oct Fest Swap Meet and Chinese Auction

Starting at 1 PM Saturday afternoon and lasting until the garbage can supper is ready to eat, we will have a Texas Boomer Mid Oct Fest Swap Meet and Chinese Auction.

Bring your junk - er ah harump - items that you would like to sell, barter, or trade and we will provide you a table in the rec hall to display them on. The whole group can then leisurely wander around each table Sat afternoon, drinking their favorite beverage and pick up all kind of bargains. This group being miserly - ah oops - frugal, suggest you affix
sales tags on your "stuff" that will be on the "very cheap" side. The object being more to have fun than make money.

Of course if you have something of real value to sell especially of an RV nature (someone mentioned having a toilet on irv2) bring it along and ask a reasonable price for it.

We would like for everyone (each individual attending) to put a no longer usefull to you item, or a gag gift, or something relly, really nice in a box or brown paper bag and seal it up and bring it for the auction. We will mix these all up and after the garbage can dinner we will have a Chinese Auction and auction all of the items off. At least one of these bags or boxes will have a very very nice prize. Of course you will have to bid on each item not knowing what you are bidding for. We will start each item at $1 and go from there. The proceeds will go into the Boomer operational funds to purchase paper and plastic goods etc. Also during the auction
Madame Boomer will pass the hat around for donations, as well, for the Boomer Fund.

This should be a lot of fun so we hope all attending will participate. Now go round up that useless junk you have laying around and stick it in your RV now so you won't forget it.
