I suppose roasted bunny and 1,000 year old Easter eggs are out of the question...

So put us down for a breakfast casserole and BBQ ribs (Dutch oven style) and a 14-inch wheel of Dutch oven bread.

Dutch

Is anyone playing golf out there? I'd like to if you are.

Dutch -

hmmmmmmm "roasted bunny" - could be quite tasty. If anyone could make "bunny" taste good, it would be you!

but the OLD eggs .....sounds like a bad case of salmonella to me!!!

will most definitely put you down for the GOOD GRUB though!!!!

Reminds me of a marriage "oops" I had many years ago with Sandy.

For years Sandy had told me about a very large pet rabbit she had when she was a child that she called Floppy. We had been married about 5 or 6 years when one day she bought some cut up rabbit pieces at the butcher's counter at the grocery store. I had told her that I used to hunt cotten tails in Kansas and that they were very good to eat, so she decided to cook up some rabbit for me.

She fried it like a chicken, batter and all, and it looked amazing on the serving platter as we sat down to eat. The following falls into the category of "why did I do that?".

As she picked up a piece of the rabbit and was preparing to bite into it, I said... "Oh-o-o, POOR Floppy..."

The rest of the details of this story are best left to your imagination. She didn't eat at all that night if I remember correctly. She didn't yell at me, but she was VERY upset.

Dale and Paulette -

Have you down for the casserole and dessert - will see you soon in Bastrop!

Dutch -
I feel for ya buddy! I think we all have similar experiences that are better left to the imagination as to what happened after ???...

One year when we lived in Ohio, I baked two cornish hens.. never had cooked one before. I first made the mistaken of naming them which only got worse when I pulled them out of the oven, placed them on our plates. Neither of us could bear to eat them!

I'll do my best not to make any references this Easter to 'FLUFFY' anything! I'm sure you are now just getting out of trouble!
