Well I SNUCK across the border this weekend.

Met up with a group at some ole place named "Rayfords Crossing".

Ate up some fine Texas smoked brisket with all the trimmings.

Then ate breakfast with a "High profile" Texas Boomer couple.

Then RAN back across the border before anyone checked my shot records.

It was a last minute trip that I did not even bring a rig for. Just drove my "Shop/Company car" over.

A young fella I know (20 years old) from Jasper who just bought his first fiver let me sleep on his couch. But I spent quite a bit of time showing him how stuff worked in his rig. It was his FIRST trip with the rig. Hopefully he will be stoppin by here to become active with the Texas Boomers.

W5IT -

Sure was good to see you at RC on Sunday!
Shock of my life to get your call. You can sneak across the border anytime you want to and head over this direction - always welcome in Texas Boomer country!

Thanks for the breakfast and for introducing us to Paul - I've emailed him and sent into onto JayC to keep him posted of area gatherings!

Sandy

Hey Don, we'll have to co-ordinate a two fronted sneak attack. You Cajuns wil have the eastern front and the Okies will attack from the north. never know what hit'em. Just let me now...I'll get my "Code-talker" to work on it.

Well Ken it was a last minute trip. Did not make up my mind to go until Friday night. Did not even take a rig. Just jumped in my old shop/office car and rode over to R.C. for a gathering of a group from the "Cracker Barrel".

Paul let me crash on the couch of his new to him Wildcat.

Should have called Sandy and Rusty when I got there. But did not even think of that until I had been there a few hours. But we did get to visit with them Sunday.
