We left Palacios Wednesday morning, to the tune of another thunder boomer, lol. I'm trying to find a
small gif of a tornado or thunder cloud to use as
a background for the mascot. First hail Easter and then a waterspout and thunderstorms during Memorial Day. What's next, a snow storm at Tow ??

We had a ton of fun there and enjoyed the conversations and all the good food. We're looking forward to the Fourth. Gary and Sue

Already the RV Park has changes. But, they are good changes. Since the Kerlins and Shadrocks have been behaving so nicely, the park moved them up to the front. Actually, another group cancelled so we had a chance at the better sites.

Hamie / I did not move you up because there is an incline to go down, which may not be healthy for Ms Janet. The spot you have gives you a straight even road to follow.

Ok, Here we go!!!

Don Allen is kind enough to post a list of RV sites and assignments. Thank you, Don.

Things to do in the area are listed on the RV park's website. But, one main item of interest seems to be the Vanishing River Cruise. Regular Price is Adults, $18.53, over 60 is $16.94 and children under 12 11.63. Groups of 20 or more get discounted prices. This is a 2 1/2 hour trip.

How many would like to attend this either Saturday or Sunday?

Saturday's departure times are 11:00 a.m. (box lunch available $5.75) and 6:00 p.m., which is their Sunset Dinner Cruise. Cost. Adult $28.95 and child 22.45. Dinner includes Mexican / American Fajita Buffet.

Sunday's departure time is 11:00 a.m. There is a special 9:00 p.m. departure for a Firework Cruise, but I am not sure about the availability.

Dixie (of Hi-Line RV Resort) tells me the cruise will stop and pick us up on their (Hi-Line's) dock. Times may change for that.

Let me know how many would be interested and which day, so I can haggle with the boat captain.

Dixie also notified me that they do their own firework display every year on the Lake beach.

Looking forward to the trip.

Kris.

The river cruise sounds great. We are interested in either day, whichever works out.

Great new, if we get 20 people for the cruise the fee is only $14.00 per person.

There is also an additional Dinner cruise for Sunday night, but these do cost more.

Great news! Buddy Warren will be joining us. Dixie (Hi-Line RV Resort) notified me that we had two additional spots open up and Buddy was the luckly recipient.

So far we have 12 folks looking forward to the River Cruise. This is going to an fun but, relaxing weekend. Let me know soon so we can get our reservations in for holiday weekend.

The Schedule is looking like:

July 1 Friday Night Mixer:
5:00 p.m. Welcome our new folks and enjoy finger foods and drinks. We can play cards or dice afterwards.

July 2 Saturday:
Saturday breakfast and lunch on your own, or
the boat if you go on the boat trip.

6:00 p.m. Bring your own meat to grill and a side to share.

July 3 Sunday:
10:00 a.m. Big Brunch: The Hill Country Way.
Sign up is now available.

Eggs / Breakfast Meats / Casseroles / Breads / Juices.

Tee Johnson and Mary Palmer have offered to decorate. Kitty, Charlotte, and Patti have also offered to help keep me sane, by providing plenty of wine and helping to clean up.

Grillers so far: Bob, Don, Alan and Darrell

You might need a couple of more grillers if there are any more victims, oh sorry volunteers.

I am not quite sure how our name got on the list for the July Rally but Bob and Peggy Raby WILL NOT be attending. SO here is a site that is now up for grabs since you say you are full.

Will hold the space for today, incase you want to talk it over.

I wish someone could look at one of the rooms that we have here in this new, used modular home we now live in at Rockport, Tx.

Since moving here to Texas Bob and I had to dedicate one of the walls in it just to put up a big Texas Map wall so we can put all the stick pins in where these places are that us Boomers are planning to be.

Not being a TRUE Texan but a darn good WANNABEEEEE that wall looks like a hurricane hit it with stickers and bright pins.

Don't know where the place is till I find it (thank goodness there is a town cheat sheet locator) ....

We will be there. Probably by 30th will firm rest of time up in a little bit if it is ok.

I'm getting soo excited NEW GROUND TO TRAVEL to (Uncartered waters) no punn on the boat ride.

We will bring Croissants & butter, juice for the Sunday Brunch.

Deviled eggs and something else for Saturday side dish.

And some type drinks and snacks for the Friday mixer.
