At this evenings campfire (Canton Rally) Rev. Don had 2 seconds of silence to remember the famous pink chicken. Once the silence ended, we had a sacrifical fire to toast the pink chikens.

It was a spectacular sight with pink and chared flesh burning. From the ashes rose a pink light flashing skyward like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Our great celebration was blessed with a huge pink and smoke chicken hovering over the campground.

Without the beloved pink chickens (we were prepared with a day of shopping at Canton). Armed with our new purchases, we celebrated by spraying all of the armadillos with pink spray paint from WalMart. The celebration went on with many dancing around the campfire and the sacrifical pink smoke chicken.

Pictures to follow showing this beautiful sight.

Ken and the Canton Rally gang.

We had a heck of a time getting them to burn, but a little diesel fuel did the trick. And the festival was on. Festival-festival festival. It was only logical we should dance at such a experience. The pink feather boas were a bit too much though.

Sandy, you missed a great party....errr, festival.

Mary Jane - you're right...the only thing worse at that shindig would be nekkid people!

Ken, I was feeling so bad that we couldn't be there....after all the goings-on in Murchison this weekend...well....I'm still in a state of shock.

I know Don Allen has disdain for the birds...I can put up with his near blasphemy at times, but

YOU ON THE OTHER HAND were part of the original "trailer trash" decision to make them our mascot. I just cannot believe YOU...of all people in this world....would douse them with diesel and talk about it!!!

My heart is faint....I have to go lie down again......

Sandy

Sandy </div></BLOCKQUOTE>I'll tell you what Sandy, I thought those of us up here in Okie land had a pretty good handle on this Boomer stuff but after this trip, and seeing what happens at a Texas Boomer rally, well, all I can say is, you had to see it to believe it!

The burning of the pink chickens was something I'll never forget. For some strange reason I was enticed to pick up one and do the same, must of had something to do with the intoxication of the evening, the huge fire, and all the dancing and screaming for the Armadillo. You just had to be there! We did get several pictures but most can't be published here due to the approval/Censorship process. However, we might be able to get one or two through, we'll try. Even after a day of driving I'm still in shock and amazed at what transpired, I don't know what else to say.

WHAT A FUN TIME IT WAS!!!!

Madam Boomer, Heinz and I are completely innocent of all the strange things that happened to the pink chickens . As honorary Texas Boomers we would never let anything happen to our pink buzzards
(this is a disclaimer)

All I have to say is: How do you get these pictures posted so quick? I still have mine under approval...and I thought I had the inside track!

Sandy, you should have been here. When Rev. Don placed the Golden Armadillo helment on his head, it was magical. The crowning touch was the pink feather boa which whipped the crowd into a frienzie.

We were all trying to touch the Golden Armadillo and become one with the moment. I guess we need you wisdom and guidance to make sure we do not wander from our ideals and goals.

We will have you a pink armadillo soon.

Ken

Sandy, I have figured out how to put a couple of unapproved pictures on here for your peruse.

I really hope these do not traumatize you too much as we don't want to cause an attack of any kind to anyone.

I thought a good night's sleep last night would help me....until I logged on this morning! You guys!!!! I can't believe you did this!!!!

Glad ya'll had fun - hope none of you have burn marks on your behinds - that looks like a raging fire...butt (so to speak), it WOULD serve you right!

I'm sure more photos of the disdainful night will be appearing soon on the forums. I've got a call in to my doctor for heart medication so I can view them.
