Got Ken Wilson's permission to "crash their party" on Aprils Fool Day so Pat and I are heading up to OK.

Any other Texas Boomers feel like packing up their "Pink Chickens" and coming along ?? Maybe we could get together and caravan.

Details about reservations etc. can be found in Kens Thread "OKIE April Fools campout"

Don, you need to have your passport in order to get back into Texas. When we went down for Xmas, it took us 2 hours at the border to get across the Red River. Seems there were a flock of Snowbirds holding up things and clogging the system. In April it should not be so bad.

Hi Don and Pat
We just came back on Monday from running around
in South Texas for 3 weeks and the only problem
we had coming back over the Red River in to
Ok was the cold . But you shouldn't have that problem in April "hopefully".
We sure are looking forward to seeing you at
the
I don't know when you retired down there at Ft. Hood, I had a crew down there in 1976 over hauling the phone system in the central office.
Wonder if it is still working

We are looking forward to it Heinz. I actually retired from the Army in Germany in 1985 but we can discuss old war stories at the Campout. I hope we don't get a freak winter storm in April but it has been known to happen. Hope you enjoyed your vacation down south. Did you enjoy Galveston?

Hey Don, If you guys run into any cold weather up here just tie your skis on top and then have some fun!! Looks like all the Okies are looking forward to getting outta the house.
It will be nice to have some warm air up here, just be sure to keep the RV door shut until I get out to Salt Creek and then I can get some of that Texas air on me.

See yall in the funnies, Warren
