OK all of you Sooners, lets get ready to party at the Pawnee, OK city campground. I can't reserve a block of sites without paying the whole amount, so you will have to make your own reservations....They only have 20 reservable sites, so get on board soon. As of this afternoon all 20 were open. Each site has water and electric and they have a dump station and it is only $10.00 per night.

You can see the place at City of Pawnee. The number for reservations is 918-762-2658 and Susan said that Cathy was a really nice person to talk to.

There is plenty to do and see in the area. I'll reserve the shelter wich is at the Lions Club across the road from the campground.

Let's plan a pot-luck supper on Saturday and on Friday we can do deserts and beverages after dinner around the campfire.

As soon as you get a site, post and let me know you are coming.

Atnedees:

Ken and Susan, home-made peach ice cream
Tom and Charlie
Don and Pat
Heinz and Betty
Warren and Gwen
Jerry and Theresa
Straglers are welcome

Ken

OK folks, we were the first to get signed up and we have the group shelter for Saturday afternoon and evening.

How about we do a one pot boiled dinner for the Pot-Luck Saturday. Depending on how many people, we may need more than one pot.

OK Ken, we are signed up. You may have to explain the "one pot boiled dinner" to me at least, don't think I've ever heard that term.

That signup is easy, Cathy is nice to talk to and its really nice being able to make reservations without paying in advance. I like that!

Boy Heinz, the Texas Boomers offer you an "Honorary" name tag and you abandon the Okies. Hope you have fun down there. Wish we could go toooooo, but we have to make some more money to pay taxes...

I have sent your information to my Aunt and Uncle who live in Enid and have a Class C Motorhome. They know how much I enjoy the Texas Boomers and Rallies, so maybe they will join your group. I am sure the Okie group can party as hardy as the Texas group. I should know since I am a transplant.

General Warren and Private Jerry did a recon of Pawnee Lake. We uncovered vital information thru two prisoners that we had encountered, (Kathryn and Gerald Doll). After extreme torture we uncovered a secret from them about the museum and mansion of Pawnee Bill and May, which was a pleasure. General Warren sent me back to Kingfisher Saturday so that I would be able to inform my fellow soilders of this secret of Pawnee. Oh by the way the price for the RV site was $10.00. Now I was sworn to secretcy by General Warren about this hidden treasure so please don't tell anyone that I told you all, or did he send me back to Kingfisher to tell you? I can't remember. They had a music festival with some fine fiddle players and singers there then a parade, with the Shriners and as all of thier parades it was wonderful. After extreme torture of sitting by the fire telling lies and putting up with one another's wonderful company we would greatly recomend an outing in that area.

Jerry, what happened. Did General Warren bust you down to a private. I thought you were a full-bird colonel. That must have been some kind of party to get you busted all the way to buck-private.

Glad the place past muster....

Ok, since you'all have reconnoitered the place how about telling us how to find it after we get to Pawnee. I'll probably come in on 18 off the turnpike. Spill your guts!
