We really enjoyed the Boomer's Christmas Rally at Rayford Crossing. Those that were there already know the news I'm about to tell...

Our daughter (& only child) and son-in-law surprised us with their visit on Friday with news that we will be first-time grandparents on January 15th and it will be a girl! They've been trying to adopt for about a year now, and finally a birthmother chose them Friday morning out of 16 couples she'd interviewed.

We feel very blessed right now, and eternally grateful to this wonderful woman who so courageously is making a very difficult decision to give her precious gift of life to a couple who cannot have children of their own and who will make wonderful parents. Not to mention that baby will have doting grandparents!!

Thanks to all those at the rally who put up with my repetitious hollaring "I'm gonna' be a grandma!"

Congratulations again, LeAnne, to you and Jim and of course to Jamie and Jarrison. We'll keep saying our prayers that all goes well. I know that baby is darn lucky to be coming into the world to such a wonderful family.

OOPS! Our daughter and son-in-law met the birthparents with their respective caseworkers today in Rockwall, TX. It seems their caseworker got the due date wrong. The baby is due on February 15th (Not Jan. 15). Seems the birthmother has a heart condition and her doctors will induce labor when the baby reaches 6 lbs. Please keep everyone in your prayers!!
Thanks!
LeAnne
