Anyone been to Vance Toe River Lodge/Campground?

Brett and I are headed there in a couple weeks with just the dually, to check things out. But we hope to make Vance Toe River Lodge Campground our spot from April thru Oct.
Vance Toe River Lodge is located in Plumtree, NC
Any input, information or just descriptions of other things in the area would be appreciated~

You'll love the area, I live about 12 miles west of there as the crow flies (40 mile drive) on the other side of Roan Mountain. Enjoy!

OH we love the mountains up there! Sure beats how things are rather flat here in Florida. lol

We'd love to hear more from anyone that's actually been to this particular cg.

Linda, I know the area well, went to school at Penland, close to Spruce Pine, played in the Toe River.

Just went to the cg web site and it looks very nice, but only 20 amp service , thats ruff.
Lots and lots to do and see in that area and all round.

Glad you are going to check it out.
