We need some warm weather to get folks thinking about camping again, then maybe they'll be stampeding to sign up for this rally.

We would love to make this rally but our plans are currently governed by the timing of our first grandkids (twins ). Their scheduled arrival date is April 24 but may be earlier. I'm sure you'll all have a fun rally!

Any one else can still register, Feb 15 was just the exclusive date, the remaining sites are now open to one and all.
Think Spring, come join us !!!!!!!!!!

Headed to Groton, CT in the morning and will not be back for a few weeks. Should have wifi to keep in touch. Looks like the weather is going to keep us on our toes driving up there.

I have just been told by my bride that we can attend after all! I now need to make reservations but have found that the link for the park is not working. Does anyone have a phone number I can call to make reservations?

Mike and Amy,

Glad y'all can make it!

Fontana Village Resort
Highway 28
Fontana Dam, NC 28733
800-849-2258 or 828-498-2211

Tell them you're with the "Appalachian Campers" group.

Here's a working link, I'll try to fix the broken one for Collette and Joe, I think they are on the road traveling.

I made reservations at the village for Thursday 4/26 through Saturday night 4/28. We will have to leave after lunch on Sunday so we can get back and set up before dark. Then back to work on Monday. I am excited about this get together and time away from the dealership.

We'll be arriving Thursday too, see y'all then. I'll put the icon by your name for Collette, I think they're still traveling.

Richard and Rv Wizard, thanks and sorry.
RVWizard, so glad that you can join us.
We arrived at Aces hIGH rv resort in East Lyme, CT just in time to get to our daughters so that we could watch the 16month old boy and they could go have their new Baby girl.
All are well and Joe and I are home in the coach, relaxing today. Will stay here till the 16th and help were and when we are needed. Tom took a few days leave so the family can get used to the new addition.
This area is beautiful and the RV park is fantastic. But getting around New London and Groton took a bit of getting used to. I have never made so many wrong turns in my life, the poor car has many more miles than need be
I think we know the way around now.
We sure will be ready for Spring at Fontana, it is beastly cold and windy here. Glad we are parked with the rig. I got blown off my feet in front of a walmart, and I am not little, I cant emagine driving the rig in this.
Thanks again Richard and good luck with the new rig. and Three cheers for RvWizard.
