Howdy ya'll! I am planning a long weekend with my girlfriend, her 2 year old and my 4 year old. We are going to Tweetsie Railroad and need a good kid friendly place to camp for the weekend. I would like someplace on a creek with full hookups (30 amp). I have found Flintlock Campground online, but have also found both good and bad reviews. Sites are close together and longterm "riff raff" present at all hours of the night.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thank you!

We stayed at the KOA outside Boone for a few days two years ago. Decent place, well kept. Seems like they had a small pond on site. Only real problem at that time was electrical. During peak periods, voltage dropped dangerously at times. Hopefully they have upgraded their wiring since then.

Hello Dave! Thanks for the input. I have actually made reservations at Raccoon Holler after speaking to Hitchhiker (Dad). I visited there when ya'll had a rally there at one point and liked it. It is a little further drive from Tweetsie (45 minutes) but it should be a pretty drive. I think Raccoon Holler has a better layout as opposed to being right on top of your neighbor. I like that since we will have 2 small children with us.

Have a great day!
