I haven't seen any recent posts about experiences on the Gulf around Gulfport and Biloxi, MS and Gulf Shores and Mobile, AL. does anyone have recent experience? We were last there in 2004 and there was much Ivan damage, now with Katrina, are there any places open to camp, at least for an overnight?

Grand Isle State park in Louisiana is open. Bucaneer state park in Mississippi (Waveland) is closed. Gulf state park in Alabama is open

Anyone know about Parker's Landing in Biloxi ? We use to stay there.

We traveled to and from Florida across I-10 in December from Texas. We stayed at Bayberry in Gulfport (behind Love's) and at I-10 RV Park in Theodore, AL. Wouldn't recommend either except for an overnight stop. There just isn't much up and running yet in that area.

we passed by it last week and it looks to be open and more than half full, probably lots of folks living there. I'd call for reservations before going. ED
