Southwestern and northern Ontario is getting a snow event that dwarfs the blizzard of 1977. More then 3 feet of snow in London Ontario and more to fall...... how would you snowbirds like that shipped down to you?

We got it +10 C here today around Vancouver. No snow, and I don't feel even bad about it. In order to get away from the snow, we have to go south or just hang around the LOWER MAINLAND....

You guys over in the Lower Mainland are just a bunch of Sucky baby cry faces. Two inches of snow and they shut your cities down.

You know why???? All those NEW drivers, that don't know, what snow looks like... We lived and worked for close to 30 years in Alberta.
In AB they never talk about snow unless its in a Blizzard? But we are happy to see the snow gone from our life.
Every day I smile watching the last snowshovel from AB in the corner of the garage.

TW:

What the east-of-the-Rockies types don't realise is how hilly the Western States/Provinces are. It's easy to handle 15" of snow when the altitude changes 20 feet in 200 miles. It's a different ball-game when it changes 300 feet in 5 blocks.

When we lived in Tidewater VA, I figured the altitude change in the 70 miles between Hampton and Richmond was less than the change between the Seattle waterfront and 4th Aveneue!

This global warming, it really getting me down. I remember a Christmas past , we after a big dinner went outside as it was 75 degrees, here in eastern North Carolina. It don't look like it going to happen this year.
