Sorry wajell but you CANT compare Fort Wilderness to any Encore park

That's not comparing apples to oranges but more like comparing a tent to a Prevost

Fort Wilderness is unique, just like Disney World shouldn't be compared to a State Fair

I was merely offering a lower cost alternative. Not all people have unlimited funds. If you are vacationing in Orlando, how much time are you actually going to spend in your RV? BTW TT and Encore may not be the most "exclusive" RV alternatives, but they are not concentration camps either.

Understood. Living only 75 miles away, we used to visit Fort Wilderness frequently. When the daily rate approached $100 a night that was the tipping point for us. We like to feel we're getting our money's worth when we go some place and at that price we no longer felt it. Everybody's tipping point is different. I believe WDW is always testing the waters revenue wise. They apparently haven't found enough price resistance yet. Luckily, like you point out, there are other options.

What was the cost of the "membership"?

Ft Wilderness WiFi

Just a comment about WiFi at Ft Wilderness. They will supply a cable modem. Bring your own wireless router, hook up to the supplied modem and you have wireless at your site. Not as convinent as vendor supplied but it works.
Also, the CG has gotten very pricey, look for different times of the year for lower rates.
