Richard, that is how we have it also, Down the mountain in
Dillard it is still very green.
Unless there is a frost, it take a while to get from starting to full color, and magnificent colors inbetween.
Acorns are rolling down the roof and hitting the deck, like the squirells are playing ball. Some early leaves are coming down.

Tammy was able to put us with the rest of the group on site 15 for our entire stay. Great folks to work with on the phone. We are looking forward to meeting everyone, take in the color change and going to some of the festivals in the area.

Drive safe Al ..... and if that turtle on your six keeps flashing his lights and honking his horn - tell him to go around or you'll make soup out of him.

Hi Y'All ,
Hey Richard,
Glad to here you guys are going to make it !
Hey Driver,
Thanks for jinxing me LOL, I am now sitting in a repair shop in Fairfield, VA. A half hour after I left the campground in Verona, VA I blew a spark plug ! So I am having all 10 replaced, plus the coil on the one that blew! However the folks here at Quality Fleet Maintence of VA are great folks! So if anyone is on I-81 in VA near Exit 200 and need work done. Stope by and see them!!!! David Renalds is the owner!
See y'all in about 7 more days I hope !!!

Al, sorry to hear you are having problems. Anything we can do to help?
We are indeed bringing firewood. Looks like we will need it! It got pretty cool last night in the hills and I'm betting it was even cooler in the mountains. We have oaks in the yard and the acorns are falling heavy. Deer are getting fat - may have an early winter. Maybe the grass will slow down and we can get a break. It will be good to get out and about again even for just a few days.
See all you guys in a few days!

We drove up to Dillard yesterday, just to check things out and make sure everything was ready. With my luck, we messed around on the trip up and they had closed the office when we got there. Mtn colors are on the way, but probably will not be much for the rally. The sassafras oaks are flaming red as are the persimmons and dogwood leaves. The gum trees are yellowing up along with the poplars. The hardwoods are still green, but are beginning to get a little lighter.
Long range weather looks like a chance of showers but we'll just have to see about that when the time comes.
