Holiday Festival of Lights - James Island

Looking for a great place to camp out for a few days, don't overlook James Island County Park, SC. Only a few minutes from downtown Charleston. The lights are spectacular as well as the sand sculpture and Holiday Village displays. All this on top of a very nice campground with bike/hiking trails, climbing wall, ropes course, frisbee golf and fishing dock. We had a great visit, as usual, and the icing on the cake was the crab dinner at camp with the the blue crabs we caught on the fishing dock

Don't get much better than that!!

We could not get a campsite at James Island County park during Christmas so we ended up staying at the KOA in Mount Pleasant. Excellent site on the lake , very clean, friendly and close to a lot of Christmas festivals, BrookGreen Gardens is incredible also went to Boone Hall Plantation, top off trip by going to James Island for Christmas lights.
