How does Hunting Island sound in the cool temperatures of March? Maybe Myrtle Beach, S.C. is more to your likening. Still not enough? Ok, Savannah, Ga. is a nice place to visit.
Here is the schedule:
March 11th & 12th Hunting Island State Park, Beauford, S.C.
March13th, 14th and 15th Myrtle Beach, S.C.
March 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th Savannah, Ga

Friday March 17th is St. Patrick's Day and Savannah celebrates the day. We read where every year they turn the river GREEN. Should be a celebration to witness.

More details will follow.
If you may be interested, in going please say so on this thread and your name will be added.

How about inviting the Appalachian Campers (Dixie Region) since we'll be thrashing around in their backyard?

Dave first let me tell you that it was not I who snatched your site at Huntington Island

Second I think it would be a great idea to let the Appalachian Campers know of our trip and see if they would like to join us. I will make a post on their forum.
Now who is the rascal that snatched Dave's site from under him? Tom? Bill? Cheryl?

We were in Loop 2. I've gone ahead and reserved site 48 in that area (darn, it's not on the water). There are a lot of sites at Hunting Island but last year loop 2 was the only one you could reserve ahead of time. I don't know if that policy has changed since now you have to go thru Reserve America instead of dealing with the campground directly.

I reserved site #46 as there are not a lot of sites left in the area for the larger rigs

If you folks want to come up to Myrtle Beach let me know and I'll spear head something from my homebase. In March it should not be any problem getting into any number of campgrounds on the Grand Strand. The price on sites doesn't go up until Memorial Day so it will be fairly cheap.

Of course you can come! The Appalachians and the FL Boomers have gotten together at Stone Mt and Meadows of Dan earlier this year, and Hunting Island in 2003.
