Sure wish we could make it but still probably a couple of months yet before I can travel. We enjoyed "taking the trip to Alaska with you" via your website last year,will you have another one for this trip? Safe,happy travels!

Diane and I would enjoy another rally with everyone,but we,re on our way to Alaska,we are in Dawson City,Yukon territory at the present time,,,,Tom and Diane from TN

Wellll, don't do anything on our account at this point. Jo Ann has been waiting on approval for a spinal cord stimulator implant. The temporary implant just got approved and scheduled this morning for next Wednesday, the 27th. Once they determine if the temporary device is effective, then Jo Ann will be scheduled for a permanent implant. At this point they can't provide any schedule beyond next Wednesday. With all the pain Jo Ann is experiencing, we may delay our travels until the implant is installed and all the post-op appointments done.

So, in fewer words, we don't really think we will make it there on our original schedule. The lure of fudge at the candy store still persists, so we still plan on going, just don't know when. Sorry about the last minute change .

If you haven't already, be sure to take the drive up the mountain overlooking Dawson City around midnight. Can't remember the name of the road, but someone at the campground will surely know what I'm talking about. You are there almost at the summer solstice, so the sun over the Yukon River at midnight is a sight to see. We have a picture of it on our website: www.home.earthlink.net/~halfdimes
Your next stop is probably Chicken, AK. About as close to nowhere as you will ever get. Have fun!!!!

Spudwrench have a good trip would like to make it also sometime maybe mext year. Keep us posted where you go?
