We are heading to the Melbourne area of Florida for next winter and would like some CG advice from some one in that area. Any recommendations? If we cannot locate a suitable CG will then think about renting a place for three months.

You can go and take a look at the Space Coast Resort and Campground located in Rockledge which is adjacent and North of Melbourne.

Check out Outdoor Resorts in Melbourne .... mostly snowbirds but the place is beautiful, great pool, beach, etc.
