Could someone tell me of a good campground in NC or a good rest stop on I95? Can I stay overnight in a rest stop on I95 in NC?
I do not want to go too far off of I95. Thanks for you help.

Mylife, we have always had a problem with convenient stops from HWY I 26in NC to Fla line. However, by chance on our last trip that way, we found the Walmart at the Hilton Head exit #8 in SC was fantastic. It is east about 2 or 3 miles and will be on the left. it is set back and very nice parking. We were one of about 6 others stopping there that night. They have a Blimpys, which we had never heard of, but had great food, inside the Walmart. We have not gone north from Hwy I 26 on I 95 so do not know what is that way.

Hi MyLife
You can not stay overnight at rest stops in NC Our FCRV camping club has stayed at a KOA near Four Oaks just south of Smithfield NC. It is prety good. They are new owners and have been making a lot of improvments and it is just off of I-95. There is a Flying J just south of Kenley NC, you could stop there for several hours free. There is a Walmart just off of I-95 in Lumberton NC. I do not know if there are any restrictions on RV parking. There is another RV park just north of Smithfield NC, it is very visable from I-95 to the right if you are heading north.
I hope this helps.

Bill

We have overnighted in the Lumberton NC Walmart. It is VERY VERY noisy. So park as far away from the highway as possible.
