Ocean Lakes Family Campground From a USAF C17

Today a USAF C17 did a Fly By off the South Carolina beaches from MYR back to the Charleston AFB. If you want to see this fly by just click on the link to play the video.

People were lined up on the beach in their red, white and blue attire and were asked to wave at the aircraft!

Ocean Lakes comes up to the left past a large stand alone hotel on the beach You can't miss it! Be on the lookout when the aircraft banks to the right the next scene will be the flyby from North to South past the campground. Myrtle Beach airport is the large open field to the right extending to the top of the frame.

..... .....

That's Lakewood on the right of the hotel (left of center) and Ocean Lakes on the left. When you look at the opening frame, you will see a ditch in the middle of the campground on the right. The ditch is a runoff and on the north side of the ditch or right side is Pirateland. So 3 campgrounds don't quite fit into the photo but there they are!

Some folks leave their RVs here all year. They'll fly in and drive to the campground and their rig will be on a site and waiting for them. Within 30 minutes after leaving the airport you could be on the beach!
