Larry and I will wagonmaster our October rally. It will be held at Bay Bayou RV Resort in Tampa. If you are a lurking irv2'er who would like to join us, just post your intentions here. You don't have to live in Florida to be a Florida Boomer. We love to meet new campers.

Here is the preliminary information:

Dates: Thursday, October 20 to Sunday, October 23. You may stay one day early and one day late at the rally rate. Just let me know your plans.

Cost: Depends on the number of rigs we attract. 11-20 rigs, our usual size, will be $20 per night. If we get 21 or more, the cost will be $18 per night. Under 11 and it will be $22 per night. I need confirmation of count to give them by October 6. I will collect the money when you arrive.

Location:12622 Memorial Highway, Tampa, Florida. Directions are on the website.

Pet Policy: The pet policy as stated on the web is not a problem, as we have cleared bringing multiple pets and well-behaved pets over 30 pounds. I have observed campers walking large dogs when I was there. They stated they did not accept pit bulls or rottweilers.

Activities:There are a lot of opportunities available in Tampa. Here's the current plan:
Friday afternoon: Shopping trip to Tampa's upscale mall close to the airport, International Mall. Possibly lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.
Friday night group meal at Boston Cooker
Saturday trip to Caladesi Island. Ferry fees and schedule to follow.
Saturday night potluck - Halloween theme? You are expected to participate in this one scheduled event. No black socks with shorts, now.

Whether you choose some of the above activities or just enjoy the Boomers and Bay Bayou campground, plan now to camp with us.

Attendees:
1. Larry and Mary (Larry, NW4W; SchnoodleMom)[Wed - Mon]
2. Derek and Audi (mindcandies)[Wed-Sun]
3. Verne and Linda (Verne and Linda)[Thurs-Sun]
4. Bill and Jan (Xeroid and Newgma)[Wed - Mon]
5. Tom and Dee (Tom & Dee)[Wed - Sun]
6. Tom and Pat (tmitchell)[Wed - Mon, satellite exposure if possible]
7. Jim and Mary Jane (Jim & MJ)[Wed - Sun]
8. Joe and Linda (The Coach - Joe and Linda Jayne, Jr.)[Thurs-Sun]
9. Rick and Cheryl (Kissimmee Kids)[Fri - Sun]
10. Jon and Sharon (Jon and Sharon) [Fri - Sun]
11. Ron and Cheri (Cookestwo)[Wed - Sun]
12. Dave and Jo Ann (Half Dimes)[Wed - Sun]

How could I forget Bocce as an activity? Their 2005 plans include resurfacing and extending the Bocce court - maybe by October??

And I hope to bring our kayaks, too. Larry doesn't use his now, but I'm sure I can find some gullible companions to go out with me, right? There are only twelve kinds of sharks in Tampa Bay - not a problem??

Seven rigs and counting! And seven months to go until Bay Bayou. Wonder what number bocce tournament that will be? Thanks for bringing your bocce set, Jan and Bill.
