Every year we try to go to Georgia National Fair in Perry (just off I-75 below Macon) This is a huge event. We usually stay at the Fair Harbor RV Park as we have done for years. Well, this morning we decided we might call and make sure they have sites available. Usually the park is maybe half full at most. We called and were told they are full. Twin Oaks, further south is also full, as are two other parks in the Perry area. Now these places usually have plenty of sites available. So, is it that the Snowbirds are headed south earlier?, more folks RVing now?, folks RVing closer to home? or what?
We did finally find a site at Hillside BlueGrass RV park in Cochran, about 35 miles from the fairgrounds.

Hi Doc
We went to Greensboro NC today and saw several RV's on I40 and some on Hy52. I don't know if they were going or comming, but it is Tuesday. Your guess would be as good as mine??

We've stayed (long term) at a Campground near Vienna (Dixie RV Park it's about 20 miles away from the Fairgrounds. The Full-hookup sites & 50 amp sites are at the back end of the campground (past the bath house). The 5/07 review is mine. We used to go to Perry often, while staying there as we banked at BOA in Perry. I75 Exit 112 was one of the ways we took.
