Prayers for Friends of Ralph and Jan

Dear Boomers:

Please pray for Mike and Debbie this morning. Mike is a long-time employee of Ralph and Jan's company, and his wife, Debbie, has been in the hospital for two weeks. They believe there is a serious problem in her brain but as of yet, there is no diagnosis.

This morning, Ralph and Jan received word that Debbie and Mike's daughter was killed in an automobile accident. She was in her mid-twenties and the mother of a two-year old child.

None of us expect that our children will pre-decease us and when it happens, I can only imagine the pain.

An update on our friends. Ralph and I just had the most gut wrenching experience. We were with Mike as he told his 50 year old wife who is now blind from a stroke that their 23 yr. daughter was killed. I just can't imagine what they're going through. Seems too much to bear. We won't be joining you at the LD rally. Need to be close in case there's anything we can do. Thanks for the prayers. You can throw one in for me if you like. Surgery for Janice is next Wednesday.

I just can't imagine what Mike and Debbie must be going through, but I know with good friends like you two they will make it through.
