Hi, Guys:

I just spoke with Derek and he said while driving home, Rick broke out in a cold sweat and pulled over to the side of the road.

He was taken to the hospital, but we don't know any details. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical staff, peace and comfort for Cheryl, and an accurate diagnosis and healing for Rick.

Love you,
Cheri

Just got off the phone with Cheryl. Apparently Rick's sugar went out of wack and that is what caused his need for immediate medical attention this morning. Cheryl says he is doing better at this time but the doctors are going to run a few more tests to make sure there is nothing else wrong. She appreciates all those that called to comfort her and to see how Rick is doing. I will post more as I find more out. Expected update from Cheryl is late this afternoon or early evening.

I was thinking it was Rick's sugar. Been there before also. I'm so glad to know that they are going to run tests and make sure it isn't something else.

We want our Rickster in tip top shape.

Love,
Cheri

Here is the latest update:
Dee just called me and said Rick had been discharged earlier this afternoon, but shortly after getting home he had some type of reaction and had to be taken back to the hospital. The doctors have and are continuing to run tests and now think he may have a stone in his salivatory? gland. Rick has been admitted to Florida Hospital in Kissimmee. No room number has been given yet. The phone number to the hospital is 407-846-4343

Obviously Rick saw a couple of cute nurses while he was there the first time, I figure he was looking to get back in time for the nightly "sponge bath"...just wait till he sees what comes in on the 3-11 shift !!!!!

Seriously, Rick & Cheryl know that we are all pulling for you guys. Thoughts, prayers, positive thoughts are all coming your way.

Robin jsut got off the phone with Cheryl. Rick is still in the hospital, he has two stones that are restricting his ability to take food or water. This drops his blood sugar and that is when he gets wacky.
Cheryl says she will keep us posted as things progress.
Cheryl also announced that he now has all of his medical conditions tatooed on his butt, now I am not sure if that is because he has a lot of medical information or that is just where they normally put that sort of thing. So Cheryl says if anyone needs his medical info. just check his a ..ahh butt.

Hi All,
Tom & I went to see Rick this afternoon. We told him as usual he has to come up with something different than everyone else. He was still unable to eat but was able to tolerate a small amount of water. He was on an antibotic IV. They were waiting for the specialist to come to exam him.

Just got off the phone with Cheryl. The specialist examined him. During the exam Rick felt something pop. After the Dr. finished the exam he told Rick the gland was okay. The Dr. ordered some food for Rick and he was able to eat and did not have a reaction. They will continue to monitor him and we hope and pray that the problem has been resolved.

Cheryl and Rick wanted me to thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and phone calls. It has really meant a lot to them.

Hopefully he will continue to improve and be able to go home without any more problems.

Boy, that's good news. Dee & Tom, I spoke with Rick while you guys were in the room, and he was hoping something would happen so they could go on that cruise. Sounds good. Thanks for letting us know.
