Given the recent fervor over the realignment of the regions, there has been MUCH thought given in recent weeks on what we as a web site could do to "accomodate" the various groups that are on iRV2.
Inasmuch as we don't want to lengthen the listing of regional forums,we first resisted the urge to create more forums until we realized we could create a "hidden" forum for those groups.
At some time in the future we may figure out an appropriate way to list the "hidden" forums if this catches on, but for now you'll need the web address to access it.

This would pertain primarily to the Florida Boomers group at this time, but could very well be used to allow "any iRV2 regional group the opportunity of having their "own" dedicated forum.

It would not be a "private" or exclusive forum in any way, it's just that for now it wouldn't be listed in the "usual" regional forums for now.

We have "set up" a Florida Boomers forum in this fashion to see if there's any interest...If this is not something that a group is interested in, we will simply take it down in a reasonable amount of time.

Check it out here http://www.irv2.com/floridaboomers/
This action is simply an effort by iRV2 to meet the needs of it's membership in the ever changing world of the internet.

Awesome! I love the format and the opportunity for so many categories. Good job!

I vote it as a "keeper".

I like the format but not sure how you plan access to it. Having the forum open to everyone as the old Boomers forum was and the Southeast Region is, worked well and invited new campers.

However this evolves, I'm glad to see that irv2 wants to be responsive to its members!

Cheri, as the forum would evolve you guys could change the "top" banner wording and of course add roster data and links...The roster and links aren't up as this is just a start...

Dave, (JoAnn?)
We would add a line in the regional forum area in order to "announce" the location of these camping groups...

Not sure at this point,as we really wanted to test this part first....I'm guessing it'd say something like "regional camping groups", then when you clicked it you'd see a listing of the groups......Florida Boomers, etc.

We're shooting to keep the announcing topic as one line, then it expands when you click it....As you may recall, part of the issue is we're trying to keep the main forum page from rolling on and on...

This is a "work in progress" and Bill's out of town this weekend or I could get him to jump in here....He's the programming wizard.

IRV2 you have come through. Your new concept seems to meet the needs of not only the Florida Boomers but to any regional camping group. This is by far the best forum approach I've seen. Accessability to all RVers to all such sites would be fantastic.

You folks can certainly start using the forum there and when Bill gets back to work on Monday I can get him to fire up the topic line...we can also tweak the banner or the photo at the top in any fashion.

Also....there is a photo link there that links the Florida Boomers to their own photo area.

For the time being, you'll have to use and bookmark the site... http://www.irv2.com/floridaboomers/

Once the topic title is up, that won't be necessary any longer....

I believe this is a great idea, I think IRV2 is trying to help us keep Ralphie's IRV2 alive. They are meeting us half way, come on Boomers let's come half way as well.

Thank you guys for your support...

Once again, let Bill get a chance to get home from his weekend out in his new Vectra and we'll get the title page up and flying...

Seems I'm always getting something going when he's outta town!!

You're so right, Carolyn!

Ralphie loved iRV2.com and this would be a wonderful way to keep the "flame" lit in honor and in remembrance of him.
