Your prayers have been greatly appreciated. Surgery was successful, and Ralphie's home!
Hi, Gang:
Ralphie needs our prayers. He has been in quite a lot of pain the past week or so, and even the pain meds didn't seem to help.
An MRI has revealed that his femur bone is about to break. The way it was explained to me is that if you picture his bone as if it were a straw, the tumor inside has filled 40% of the bone cavity. When it reaches 50%, the bone will break. So what they will do is clean out as much of the tumor as possible then reinforce the bone with a rod.
They are still waiting to get a time for the surgery. Ralph's oncologist is hoping for tomorrow, but it depends on the availability of the OR. He is in the hospital now, so let's pray for peace and physical comfort for him as he waits. Pray also for spiritual and emotional comfort for Janice.
As you know, Janice is recovering from major surgery a week ago yesterday. Pray for her strength and healing also.
As if all of this wasn't enough, they will be moving to their new home in a few weeks. Imagine all that packing and unpacking.
They may be done with all of that, just in time for their son, Kevin's wedding on Octoboer 1st. I'm overwhelmed just writing about all of this.
We are praising God for the job He has already done in their lives and the people He has sent to help them. Their church is actually shutting down the office for the day of their move to help them. What a blessing.
Love,

RalphiE,
We are glad to see you are home. None of us know what the future is going to bring so we must enjoy today and be thankful for each day we have. I think Lou would look good carrying your black & blue don't you? All the Boomers are looking forward to seeing both you and Janice at the Sept Rally.
Don't worry what ever you & Janice can't do Cheri will, including putting on the slinky gray hose . Just kidding cheri.
All of us will help in any way needed. Take care rest up and follow nurse Janice orders...
Derek

Hey, Derek:
Since Janice just had major surgery too, the rest of us could take turns playing Doctors and Nurses. Whatever, they know they will be well taken care of.
Both those Hamiltons need to take it easy. Not to mention they'll be moving shortly after the rally!
And for your information, I "might" just be willing to help with those hoses. I'd do anything for our friends.
So, on that note, this is the way it will go. Derek, I will command you to empty the gray water hose and the black water hose and clean up any mess you may incure. Ta da!
