How about a road trip to the Georgia mountains for a week of relaxing and sightseeing? Tentative dates depending on response is November 6th to the 12th. Where your asking? Well Vectrola has suggested along with MRS FLORIDABOOMER RV Mountain Village. I have included the link below. There website states that they give a 10% discount for 10 or more rigs but still weekly cost for full hook up is only $180.00 even without the discount. So if your interested, put your name on the thread and in a week we will see how many rigs we have. (that's 9/24)
*** Edited on 09/17/05 for clarification purposes ***
***EDITED on 10/10/05*** Park will not have any sites available until the 6th due to large rally leaving the 5th.

We will pass on the Georgia trip. But it should be a great time to see some leaves change.

Sounds like a great trip. We'll have to wait and see how Larry is doing, though. We may tag along at the last moment if possible.

We would love to go, but those dates won't work for us. Ron has a band concert on the 7th and 8th.

We'll keep watching the posts in case there is a date change.

The campground is gorgeous, and the leaves will be spectacular, although by the November dates you have posted, they will mostly be through with their transition.

Ron called the campground yesterday and the gal said the prime time was between the first and middle of October.

This is such a beautiful campground and we will definitely get there one of these days, if not now.

Sounds like it will be a great trip -- now that we have told our salesman in Hollywood to turn up the heat and get our place finished we may be looking at moving at that time.
We will, however, keep this in mind if we aren't in the middle of moving. Hope we can go.

Oh, Bummer.

Doesn't look like this trip will work for us, but if it comes up again, I'm going!

Have fun and we'll expect a trip report when you return.

Derek & Audi,

We'd love to have y'all come to the Appalachian Campers' Fall Rally in Whittier, NC which is near Cherokee and not far from the north Georgia mountains. The dates (10/22-25) are a little earlier than your plans but if you or any of the Florida Boomers can make it we'd love to have y'all.

Could be very possable that we could make the trip. Just have to see if a couple of medical test dates can be changed. Will post to your rally if it works out.

If you go to Dillard, the Dillard House is a great place to eat. Family style breakfast, lunch & dinner.

We were up in that area last October and stayed in Cleveland GA. There are many festivals in that area during the month of October.

You may have leaf colour still in NOV. The leaves up here haven't started changing yet (and they should have). The dogwoods have ever so faint a blush of purple. By this time the dogwoods, sorrelwoods (sourwoods) and tulip poplars should be well into their colour change. Looks like one of two things will happen. Either we will have a late colour change or we will have the leaves colour and drop in the space of a week.

Derek's date were carefully chosen not to interfere with the November rally. The dates posted for the Appalachian rally do overlap with the October rally.

Jan and I will be watching the diesel prices, especially if Galveston takes a direct hit. If that happens fuel could go to $4-5 a gallon. we will probably stay a little closer to home if that is the case. Them maybe not. Never been a full timer before. Whatcha thinkin Derek?
