RV park on the South Side of Nashville

Getting a new 35 ft DP next week and we're thinking of driving up from Orlando to a wedding in Nashville at the end of March. Looking for comments/advice about the area.

1) Where to stay. A quick look at Nashville only seems to show a KOA and another park near it on the north side of town about 18 miles from where the wedding is. Any ideas of places more on the south side of town? We'd like to be a bit closer.

2) Weather. Living in Fla for so long I'm not sure what to expect on a Nashville trip that time of year. Is it a bit early? Icy roads? Don't want to go snow boarding with my new rig.

TIA

I lived in Nashville for a awhile (live in FL now) and it can be very cold with sleet and ice during this time of year. Regarding a park on the South side of Nashville. Check Good Sams to see if they have any parks on that end of town. Have Fun!!!

The only place on the south side of Nashville is Henry Horton State Park near Lewisburg, TN. They completed renovated and paved their campground this past summer and it is now one of the nicest state park campgrounds in TN. Do a search for the park and you will get all the information you need and you can reserve online. It is about 50 miles south of downtown Nashville but probably the closest you will find on that side of town.

Thanks. That's a bit far from where we're going, but definitely sounds like something we will check out
